@awohlnation @misterguacamol3 @Colin_d_m For a single player, basic-textures game, the map tiles can just be included.
It's a straightforward change. It improves rendering speed. And it's just the better design choice for a game of this size.
@Colin_d_m Calling anyone posting feedback on reddit a "redditor" is dork ass behavior.
Yea that's a whiny/out of touch post, but you could always just respond with something actually insightful.
There is some actual discussion on there, as long as you ignore the obvious dumbasses.
Cloudflare has acquired Vite / VoidZero
Void is vite's fullstack Intertia-like framework.
This gives Cloudflare control over the entire stack. They have all the primitives from frontend/backend framework, linting, testing, formatting, JS runtime, db, kv, inference, blob storage, access, etc...
smart move. A tidy package they can hand to an LLM to make a site.
@iamdavidhill@complex_maths Web browsers put tabs on the side nowadays, what's the point of putting it on top?
It's just harder to read on a laptop screen when you go over 15 tabs
@vermithrax12@dhh@Dell You can run whatever apps you want, its just that lots of people are fine with a tui-centric workflow.
Also, the theming is one of the standout features of omarchy with how extensive it is, if you wanted light mode it literally takes 2 seconds. No harder than macOS.
@rsms@theo@FrameworkPuter Without a major laptop maker (with the reach of apple/dell/lenovo/etc) taking the first step selling a laptop with a symmetrical ergo layout, there won't be a market for it.
I know people who went back from ergo keyboards to staggered just out of convenience.
@petergostev An advanced, "intelligent" model that still pollutes the context by going down paths that an actual competent engineer/architect wouldn't even think of as reasonable means they're not that intelligent.
Stopping and changing course should be more common.
@petergostev Genuinely very useful. With how much "work" models crap out nowadays, I wish more of them were less eager to just do whatever they're told and actually think more without explicitly being told to "push back".
Smart humans don't just do huge amounts of work whenever you want.
@albrorithm@theo Long term plans for things I'm building. Bookmarks for interesting sites/articles/videos. Journal entries for stuff I've completed on specific dates. Code snippets.
Considering building a deploy-to-blog integration from my notes too. This one's still really early stage.
@tryOctarine@theo Should list out at least a couple reasons why.
I've seen the sheer amount of effort you've put into building this, you're selling yourself short by just posting a link and no other details.
@NuminousVoidX@hardwarecanucks Agreed.
It's crazy that brand new laptops are still stuck with the same Wh numbers commonplace 15 years ago. All while phones keep getting capacity bumps every year.
Even a slight bump to 150Wh will be a game-changer for usability.
@hardwarecanucks I want a >100Wh laptop, relatively thin, with an OLED screen.
Yet nobody makes one. This is not asking for much.
I don't mind a bit of extra weight if it means 10+ hour battery at high brightness, running real workloads.
