"We knew about defects in the late 80s and 90s. It’s not about knowledge; it’s about delivering that knowledge."

Another cracking Sunday Post- RAF veteran reveals rape in call for change, protect Scots jobs, and the birth defect scandal caused by medication that is even bigger than Thalidomide. @ValproateUK @valproatescot @JuliaCumberlege @epilepsy_scot
Contrary to some incorrect media reports, we can confirm that the new Patient Safety Commissioner will be independent of both the Scottish Government and the NHS.
Patients and members of the public will, of course, be able to contact the Patient Safety Commissioner directly.
Support the creation of Patient Safety Comissioner in Scotland who is truly independent of the NHS and the Government by responding to this public consultation https://t.co/ilUXNEEZYQ #patientsafety#PatientsViews
I am one of the Mum's of the 20,000 plus Children Harmed by #Valproate#FirstDoNoHarm Until my dying breath I will campaign for Justice Matt Hancock we are not going to run away. Implement the 9 recommendations of the IMMDS Review. We would like a response https://t.co/cJnaHMOs4J
Those children affected born after 1994 must be given the respect they deserve and full recourse to compensation and redress. The damage has been done, it was done without gaining fully informed consent.
We have been informed that as a precautionary measure, the MHRA has recalled three batches of #Epilim 500mg Gastro-Resistant tablets from pharmacies.
The affected batch numbers are:
RO801
RO802
RO803

Why are potentially 25 babies still being born disabled every month because their mothers are taking Sodium Valproate even when we know the risks? The NHS should BAN it being knowingly prescribed to pregnant mothers - my letter to Matt Hancock today: https://t.co/wHxmwQthc4
@MattHancock But how safe will they be? The UKs MHRA was shown to be woefully inadequate by the Cumberlege review. When will you commit to a Patient Safety Commissioner as has been done in Scotland?
