Very exciting new method for inferring latent disease trajectories, led by the tireless Dr. Urbut with Natarajan and Parmigiani labs. If you're considering a postdoc in this area talk to Sarah!
One of my first consults as a cardiology fellow: a 34-year-old, textbook MI. A day earlier, no risk model would have flagged him for prevention. That paradox has driven my work ever since — our models miss how disease actually evolves, dynamically, on top of a genetic background. @Nature https://t.co/PHDOjmGxE3
📣Delighted to share two new studies from our team

Using burgers as a model system, a generative AI system rediscovers the classic Big Mac without explicit supervision and generates novel burgers optimized for deliciousness, sustainability, or nutrition, according to a paper in npj Science of Food. https://t.co/rrgUL1uQzj
1/ Results from #ARC20 trial are out in @Nature!
This trial evaluated the HIF-2α inhibitor Casdatifan in heavily pretreated advanced ccRCC and provides important insights into HIF-2α biology and response. This is the 2nd HIF2 inhibitor with enough activity to move to a pivotal study after Belzutifan, cementing the 2019 @nobelprize story with @kaelinlab et al

In our latest, we tested elements of cancer biology research using @AnthropicAI AI agents, with varying amounts of human involvement across multi-step, multi-omic analyses
Interesting times for agentic AI & biological discovery, and for the future of (cancer) biology research...
We are hiring! We are specifically looking for a postgraduate associate - someone who has recently finished university and is ultimately looking to apply to medical school or graduate school.

Had fun discussing AI innovations in health care with @TheAtlantic@tgoetz, highlighting work by @kenlkehl@ecerami@DFCIPopSci on AI for clinical trial matching in oncology + other exciting applications of AI across @DanaFarber https://t.co/nWb39ETeiV
A true joy celebrating the 25 year anniversary for @CampKesem last weekend with the one-and-only Iris Wedeking - a remarkable org, impacting cancer patients and their families (+ inspiring clueless college kids like me!) ... a genuine privilege to be part of this family
Today at #AACR26: Noah Fields, MS, of @DanaFarber’s @VanAllenLab, presents findings from a familial cancer study suggesting that high-resolution germline genetic testing could benefit patients with familial cancer.

LBA1/Plenary #ASCO26: PROTEUS trial
Perioperative apalutamide + ADT vs. placebo + ADT with radical prostatectomy in HR localized or locally advanced PC
Our very own #DrMaryEllenTaplin from @DanaFarber_GU will take the stage at #ASCO26 and present phase 3 PROTEUS trial. This is a key multimodal treatment question and could shift the paradigm on how we think about systemic therapy in the perioperative setting. Dr Taplin has worked on countless Neoadjuvant Strategies in prostate cancer and it is rewarding to see her work materialize at the big stage !
