@TheCinesthetic “I’d like a beer, please.” And the bartender just nods and comes back with something.
Not asking for a specific brand (Bud light, corona) or even just type of beer (stout, IPA, pilsner) is crazy. The bartender not asking any follow-up questions is even crazier.
$PLTR This guy named Michael with only 3 subscribers on YouTube just dropped one of the most insightful “ontology” videos I have ever seen. He studied AI at Caltech and has a degree in philosophy. Anyone can claim that, but I’m sure you’ll believe it by the end of the video. This is a must watch ‼️‼️
Michael — You dropped this, king: 👑

Floating dinner dates are common in Asia, why not the US?
1. Buy a floating dock and a boat (even a rowboat)
2. Get a permit
3. Push IG ads to millennials
4. 3 bookings per evening at $300 each + upsells
5. Use a nice restaurant for the food
6. Profit
I'm thinking White Rock Lake in Dallas would be perfect.
No bookings? Sell the assets.
Don't want to risk not getting bookings? Make the website and push ads to it today, and refund if you get bookings. Now you know there's demand before you launch.
Organic growth from people posting pics to IG would be insane, similar to candlelight concerts.
DFW has nothing to do outside, but it does have lakes and foodie millennials.
This 58s video of Frank Zappa talking about creativity fires me up for 2024.
And it's a peek into the brain of a 0.00001% creative genius.
His full answer is flawless. It’s the longest “hellllll yeahhhhhh” I’ve heard in a long time.
Interviewer: “Do you consider yourself a great guitarist?”
Frank Zappa goes on to spill the secrets to building any lovable product.
“What I do on a guitar has very little to do with what other people do on a guitar."
Mic drop. Imagine ignoring everything and everyone else when building your product.
It’s a reminder that the internet rewards uniqueness, weirdness.
AI makes anyone able to spin up software, Hollywood style videos on a dime.
That "weirdness", the human touch is what communities will gravitate to more than people think.
Cookie cutter = products, content that looks like everyone else fueled by AI
Molding your own clay = building the "anti-product" that looks and feels different
This line is beautiful:
“It's a game, you have a piece of time and you get to decorate it.”
I can't stop thinking about that line. Being original, having fun with the time to build product, create content.
In 2024 – the internet is a game, and you can decorate it how you want.
Maybe that sounds corny but it's true.
That's my 2024 energy. Maybe yours too.

Frank might be the best “wish I met him” of all time for me.

You eat one amazing peach then spend the rest of your life buying lousy peaches trying to repeat the experience. Forever chasing that peach dragon; that’s how good it was.
And the winner of financial disclosures is... Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson who reported that Beyonce Knowles-Carter gifted her four concert tickets valued at $3,711.84.
Robert de Ropp: "Seek, above all, for a game worth playing. Such is the advice of the oracle to modern man. Having found the game, play it with intensity—play as if your life and sanity depended on it."
"If life does not seem to offer a game worth playing,
then invent one."
@investing_law I think of it in phases.
Phase 1 maximize W2 income: it takes about 10 years to get to 500k/yr for non-tech job on west coast.
Phase 2: get enough net, active RE income to retire from phase 1
Phase 3: get enough net, passive RE income to retire from phase 2
@moseskagan@mhprvpmvp There were only four transactions by execs in march
1. shares that were donated (not sold) to a charitable org
2. 8,000 shares sold, likely through a 10b51 plan
3. 1,550 shares purchased
4. RSU vesting: even though there was a tax liability, the shares were withheld (not sold)
@mhprvpmvp@admsteiner@moseskagan 10b5-1s are not reported on Form 4s (yet). But they almost certainly used one per FRBs insider trading policy.
Effective 4/1/23, there is a new rule that has insiders indicate publicly whether a reported transaction was intended to satisfy Rule 10b5-1 plan.
