Vijay Raghavan from TISS was against hanging of terrorist Kasab.
Now he is working Maharashtra’s and Gujarat’s prisons with his initiative PRAYAS.
BJP doesn’t know how many termites are eating government resources.
A 28-year-old Hindu doctor, Dr. Akash Kumar, was shot dead by Muslims in Karachi.
He was with his father and his cousin. According to the family, even after the attackers got the money, they opened fire, shooting him multiple times in the chest.
The part I cannot stop thinking about is what came next.
His father lifted the lifeless body of his own son in his arms.
No parent should ever have to carry the child they once carried as a baby. No father should have to bury the son he dreamed would one day bury him.
This happened in broad daylight, around noon, in an area reportedly covered by hundreds of surveillance cameras and under constant police presence.
For many Pakistani Hindu refugees living in India, this is the deepest wound. They escaped, but many of their parents, siblings, cousins and childhood friends could not. Every few weeks, another call comes. Another name is gone. Another family is shattered.
Thousands of Pakistani Hindus still want to leave but many remain trapped because obtaining the documents needed to migrate is often extremely difficult. Pakistan doesn’t give many Hindus passports, and without a passport they cannot get Indian visas to migrate. Pakistan has kept them as hostages.
When the victim is a Hindu, the silence from much of the world is often impossible to ignore.
One more young life. One more grieving father. One more family that will never be whole again.
Caste was the defining aspect of ancient India.
But Slavery was never the defining aspect of ancient Greece.
EVERYTHING in ancient India must be reduced to caste. But NOTHING in ancient Greece must be reduced to Slavery.
Eastern civilizations must always be defined by their worst attributes, but western civilization must always be defined by its best ones. Your aberration is your essence, our essence is merely an aberration.
Our civilization must be judged only by its successes, yours must be judged only by its flaws.
Till the end, Zubair tried to portray Tahir Hussain as an innocent victim.
Today he’s been convicted by by the Karkardooma Court in the murder of IB officer Ankit Sharma during the 2020 Delhi riots. These vile beings will stoop to any level to defend their brethren.
Sanskrit has no word for religion.
Not because the concept was hidden. Because the category didn't exist.
धर्म (dharma) comes from √धृ - to hold, to bear, to support. It is the property by which a thing holds its own nature. Fire's dharma is heat. Water's dharma is descent. Remove it and the thing stops being itself.
The Mahābhārata says so in as many words:
धारणाद्धर्ममित्याहुः - it is called dharma because it upholds.
(Śānti Parva 109.11)
Which means every time you read svadharma as "my religion" or even "my duty," you are reading a colonial filing system, not a Sanskrit word.
This is the whole reason we teach the language and not only the translation. A translation gives you someone else's decision about what a word meant. The root gives you the word.

I feel vindicated. OpIndia and our coverage has prevailed. A battle fought for 6 years.
It was in July 2020 that I had analyzed the chargesheet against Tahir Hussain. The CS, including his disclosure statement, laid bare the sinister plot behind the anti-Hindu riots. He admitted not only how he wanted to kill “Kafirs” but how he created a fake alibi to convince police he was the victim. It was this alibi that was peddled shamelessly by @zoo_bear and @khanumarfa. That he made multiple PCR calls to get “help” since he was the victim of the riot. Hussain admitted that this was a ruse, while he gheraod the police, cutting them off from the location where he and his men were murdering Ankit Sharma and other Hindus.

This is HUGE.
@vimaglabs has built an electric motor that removes magnets entirely.
Instead, it uses software to generate dynamic magnetic field - which then spins the rotor.
Vimag's motor already matches the performance of conventional motor.
In the future, they can basically improve the performance by providing an OTA update - just like your smartphones.
And since it only uses things like copper, steel and standard electronics - it can be built fully indigenously right here in India.
They are already testing their electric motor with two wheeler manufacturers and a three-wheeler powertrain supplier.
And they plan to ship 1,000 to 10,000 motors by the end of this year.
"Tahir Hussain organised Delhi riot."
"No. He's framed for his religion."
"There's a video proof."
"Video is fake."
"Police probe indicts him."
"Police Amit Shah ki hai."
"He confessed."
"Daraya gaya hoga."
"Court also convicted him yesterday."
"Court bhi Modi ke control me hain. No justice for innocent MusIims in India."
As per autopsy report 26 year old IB officer Ankit Sharma was stabbed 400 times by Mob led by Tahir Hussain
His dead body was then thrown into the near by drain to rot and stink.
And here we have bollywood celebs defending murderer like Tahir Hussain.
Court convicted him
🚨 BIG: An 🇮🇳 Indian startup may have achieved what global automakers have been working on for years.
It could also help reduce the EV industry's dependence on 🇨🇳 China's rare earth magnet supply chain.
Bengaluru-based Vimag Labs has secured a patent for a rare earth-free electric motor platform that replaces permanent magnets with software-controlled magnetic fields.
If successfully commercialised, the technology could reduce the EV industry's dependence on Chinese rare earth supplies.
Look closely !!!
Every chain, every ornament, every intricate pattern was carved from a single block of stone nearly 900 years ago.🔥🚩
No machines. No modern power tools.😱
Just unmatched craftsmanship, patience, and devotion.
Our ancestors left behind wonders that still leave the world asking one question:
"How?" 🇮🇳🙏
The Kailash Temple at the Ellora Caves is the world's largest monolithic structure. Hand-carved from a single massive basalt cliff during the 8th century, it is an engineering marvel designed to replicate Mount Kailash. But here's the biggest mystery - where did they dump the 200,000 tons of rock that was excavated?
When you realize that Ajmal Kasab killed 166 people and injured over 300 in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, what's even more disturbing is that 203 people signed a mercy petition for him.
Women queue up for rice during the Bengal Famine, 1943, Calcutta (Kolkata), India.
Winston Churchill blamed the famine on Indians "breeding like rabbits" and questioned why Mahatma Gandhi was still alive.
British wartime policies led to the diversion of food supplies from Bengal to the British Troops and caused the famine that killed over 2 million people.
