A 28-year-old Hindu doctor, Dr. Akash Kumar, was shot dead by Muslims in Karachi.

He was with his father and his cousin. According to the family, even after the attackers got the money, they opened fire, shooting him multiple times in the chest.

The part I cannot stop thinking about is what came next.

His father lifted the lifeless body of his own son in his arms.

No parent should ever have to carry the child they once carried as a baby. No father should have to bury the son he dreamed would one day bury him.

This happened in broad daylight, around noon, in an area reportedly covered by hundreds of surveillance cameras and under constant police presence.

For many Pakistani Hindu refugees living in India, this is the deepest wound. They escaped, but many of their parents, siblings, cousins and childhood friends could not. Every few weeks, another call comes. Another name is gone. Another family is shattered.

Thousands of Pakistani Hindus still want to leave but many remain trapped because obtaining the documents needed to migrate is often extremely difficult. Pakistan doesn’t give many Hindus passports, and without a passport they cannot get Indian visas to migrate. Pakistan has kept them as hostages.

When the victim is a Hindu, the silence from much of the world is often impossible to ignore.

One more young life. One more grieving father. One more family that will never be whole again.

Sanskrit has no word for religion.

Not because the concept was hidden. Because the category didn't exist.

धर्म (dharma) comes from √धृ - to hold, to bear, to support. It is the property by which a thing holds its own nature. Fire's dharma is heat. Water's dharma is descent. Remove it and the thing stops being itself.

The Mahābhārata says so in as many words:
धारणाद्धर्ममित्याहुः - it is called dharma because it upholds.
(Śānti Parva 109.11)

Which means every time you read svadharma as "my religion" or even "my duty," you are reading a colonial filing system, not a Sanskrit word.

This is the whole reason we teach the language and not only the translation. A translation gives you someone else's decision about what a word meant. The root gives you the word.

It was in July 2020 that I had analyzed the chargesheet against Tahir Hussain. The CS, including his disclosure statement, laid bare the sinister plot behind the anti-Hindu riots. He admitted not only how he wanted to kill “Kafirs” but how he created a fake alibi to convince police he was the victim. It was this alibi that was peddled shamelessly by @zoo_bear and @khanumarfa. That he made multiple PCR calls to get “help” since he was the victim of the riot. Hussain admitted that this was a ruse, while he gheraod the police, cutting them off from the location where he and his men were murdering Ankit Sharma and other Hindus.

@vimaglabs has built an electric motor that removes magnets entirely.

Instead, it uses software to generate dynamic magnetic field - which then spins the rotor.

Vimag's motor already matches the performance of conventional motor.

In the future, they can basically improve the performance by providing an OTA update - just like your smartphones.

And since it only uses things like copper, steel and standard electronics - it can be built fully indigenously right here in India.
