Non-Tech guys who are enjoying and celebrating by seeing layoffs in tech (esp in oracle, Adidas, etc)

If there are no software engineers
-CA's will lose their clients
-Gyms will lose their clients
-Banks, people will stop mutual funds, FDs, credit cards, home loans, etc
-Car, bike showrooms couldn't sell their products
-Cab/Auto drivers will not get customers
-People will stop going to restaurants or ordering food (Zomato drivers + Restaurants gets affected)
-No national or international vacations (Tourist spots will lose money)
-Doctors & Hospitals will lose income (No health checkups, insurance clients)
-Schools & teachers, now people will start sending their children to normal schools instead of paying 5 lakhs/year schools
-Universities & professors, students will stop taking Computer science or related courses
-AI companies will lose their revenue, less software engineers = less subscriptions
-Hardware companies - less laptops, monitors, phones, GPUs
-Domestic workers, can't afford
-Tech parks will start looking empty
-Cracking govt jobs becomes 100x tough
-Unemployment increase
-Financial frauds, crimes will increase
-Government will get less tax
-Poor people can't get freebies

It ripples through almost every sector.

Computer Science was smuggled into India.

In 1963, IIT Kanpur’s IBM 1620 arrived by military plane got hauled onto campus on a bullock cart.

By 1965, @IITKanpur launched its compulsory programming course, TA 306, for all branches.

Why TA? It stands for Technical Arts. Back then, nobody called a computer a science. It sat in the same category as carpentry and workshop trades.

When the education ministry repeatedly rejected forming a CS department for being too vocational, Prof. V. Rajaraman took matters into his own hands.

In 1978, he quietly stole 2 to 3 seats from other departments to assemble an unauthorized 20-student CS batch. He taught them using ₹5 textbooks he self-printed in the campus shop.

That illegal batch closed at JEE Rank 40, forcing every other IIT to copy the program.

One student in that cohort was Rajeev Motwani, who later went to Stanford and mentored Larry Page and Sergey Brin as they built @Google

Please tell foreign companies that if they layoff Indians, their product will be banned in India, and they will lose access to 1.5 billion Indian customers....

If they say, you don't have alternative, tell them that govt will hire all those laid off Indian employees and develop exact copy of their product.

Also remember, if we don't have job, we can't pay tax.
If we can't pay tax, you can't give freebies.
You will lose election....

So indirectly your job is dependent on my job

Filed my ITR today.

Paid income tax more than my fresher year CTC.

In return, now I'll have to struggle to get my own PF money back. Can't send my future kids to government school because we all know the condition. Can't depend on a government hospital if I want good treatment. To drive on good roads, still have to pay toll. Have to buy an air purifier and water purifier because air and water around me are polluted.

Feels very unrewarding to be a taxpayer. There should be some reward for people who pay a good chunk of their income in taxes every year.
