Adorable of Janaki to keep the rhythm going even as Sunitha breaks down before finishing (such is the power of the tune).
It was a BGM in Swathi Muthyam (1986) which Vamsy with his trademark quirkiness made into a love duet in 1988 (attaching original link and all 3 videos)
It's been two weeks since Vijay took oath as Tamil Nadu's CM, and it still feels surreal - like a scene from one of his movies. But this is very real. What seemed improbable weeks ago is now the new normal.
I believe two (or 2.5) key signals built trust in this outsider/newcomer for the state's highest office:
1. The decisive exit from films: Announcing Jananaayagan as his last movie wasn't just symbolic. Vijay walked away from a proven cash cow, with his films routinely grossing ₹100-200 crores. He didn't hedge or keep a safety net. That clear commitment screamed confidence: "If he's willing to stake his biggest asset and primary livelihood for this, his dedication to the new role must be serious".
2. Refusal to ally with established players: Despite ties with DMK-aligned producers (Red Giant, Sun Pictures), he rejected cushions from DMK, AIADMK, or BJP. Contesting solo across all seats projected self-belief and a genuine break from the old guard. It signaled to voters: "He's not here for a soft landing or power-sharing compromise. He wants real change".
2.5. The Trisha event as quiet confidence: Attending producer Kalpathi S. Suresh's son's wedding reception with Trisha (in the first week of March 2026), amid personal rumors and his ongoing divorce, was a bold move. In a state where "moral" optics often matter electorally, hiding or staying ambiguous would have signaled hesitation. Showing up openly projected composure and fearlessness, traits that mirrored his political gamble. It wasn't about endorsing rumors; it was about refusing to be dictated by them. (This is smaller than the first two, but I felt it reinforced the "unconventional leader" image).
Now, with the government formed (via post-poll support), that movie-like feeling continues. Vijay's sharp, jacketed style stands out against the state's long tradition of white shirts and veshtis, and most other Indian states too, in fact (barring some Northeast CMs). It visually marks a departure - a hint that governance, priorities, and even the aesthetic of power might shift. Whether this freshness delivers substantive change for Tamil Nadu remains to be seen, but the break from the past is undeniable.
Unfair to dismiss @TVKVijayHQ speech as audio launch variety. A speech by a leader is meant to stir the audience, excite them, make them feel part of the process. Not a boring, soporific one that fails to connect. On those parameters, #Tamilnadu CM's speech ticked all the boxes.
This election remains me
Most of the people in TN are not ideological based, politics in TN around personality based.
When people looking for change, they will be brutal. They will change even big Titan.
Money & caste is fall downs in this election. It is good thing. Next time every Politician will think before distributing the money.
Media they know the truth but they have hidden the reality. Youngster in social media played huge role in TN.
Demography changed in TN, Vijay came at right time. New chapter have begin, now everybody knows the impact. Here onwards it will be difficult for all parties to stop him.

Vaa Re Vaa song promo from #Lenin is beautiful. Shwetha Mohan’s voice and Thaman music has those 70’s songs vibe.
Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse are looking good in rural costumes! 👍
Looking forward to the full song on Jan 5th!
Swetha Mohan and S&S give a fitting tribute to zakhir hussain by mixing 2 of his songs from “Saaz”.
Sweta i have to say sounds better than Kavita K and the vocal harmonies are very creative
It's sad that Vandana didn't receive an award for her incredible performance - she's a truly talented singer who hasn't gotten the recognition she deserves.

Wow! Look at that beautiful voice of Shwetha Mohan at that age! Vijay Adhiraj as the host! Beautiful times!!! #Apparently this is the debut song of her mom - sung for none other than Raja’s mega blockbuster album Johnny!
