@MichaelDrogalis We’ve had the best luck with UNNEST for large inserts. Significantly faster for our workloads.

@jkshah Does the RDS team have any plans of ever supporting the Citus extension now that it’s open source or are there still some licensing issues?

@craigkerstiens @crunchydata Citus support with a custom version of live shard rebalancing 🙂. I’d love a crunchy blog post that talks about Citus and other approaches like Vitess as I’m sure you have lots of thoughts there.

@kellabyte Disclaimer, I know little about Timescale. But it seems optimized for timeseries tables and doesn’t partition data the way you’d necessarily want (I.e by customer like Planetscale would do). Citus is a better analogy to Planetscale/Vitess. I just wish we could use Citus on AWS!
