🧬 Sensitivity of circulating tumor DNA for detection of MRD recurrence in melanoma (56 pt, stage II to IV) @JCO_ASCO
https://t.co/YyFEdfdzZZ
🎯 Overall sensitivity 53.6%
💥 Strongly site-dependent: highest in LN (87.5%, P = .003) and liver (87.5%, P = .034), lowest in brain (33.3%, P = .248)
Minimal disease, maximal nuance. Sensitivity is contextual 🧠

New and #OpenAccess from @VincentMaMD et al: A phase 2 trial of SCH 727965 (NSC 727135, dinaciclib) in patients with stage IV melanoma

Presented at #ASCO24:
Among patients who received two 3-week cycles of neoadjuvant ipilimumab and nivolumab, the 12-month event-free survival was 83.7%, as compared with 57.2% among those who received only adjuvant therapy. Full NADINA trial results: https://t.co/ZxWxo2qgNy

Major milestone today! @US_FDA approves lifileucel, an autologous tumor infiltrating lymphocyte therapy, for previously treated advanced melanoma. This is the first in its class of cellular therapies for solid tumors.
@Samantha_July01@OncLive@UWCarbone Our pilot study (NCT06199713) is accruing unresectable stage III/IV melanoma patients with baseline PET/CT who plan to be treated with ICI
18F-FDG PET/CT May Serve as Early Interval Response Assessment Tool in Patients Receiving Combinatorial ICI Therapy. @VincentMaMD@UWCarbone#oncology

4-year survival updates! Although not a comparative trial between treatment arms, SECOMBIT appears to reaffirm the preferential use of doublet IO as first line followed by BRAFi/MEKi at progression in patients with metastatic BRAF-mutated melanoma. @NatureComms
Thank you @AIMatMelanoma! I am honored to discuss updates in melanoma care to the Wisconsin community with my colleagues, Drs Mark Albertini, Gloria Xu, and @neuman_heather. @UWCarbone@uw_medicine @uw_hemeoncpc
Incredible achievement positive Phase 3 trial with TIL congrats @HaanenJohn & colleagues @NKI. Game changer/new era to improve patient outcomes. FDA approval never too soon! Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocyte Therapy or Ipilimumab in Advanced Melanoma | NEJM https://t.co/mTjCqwGp5v
New Research: Early Response Assessment in Advanced Stage Melanoma Treated with Combination Ipilimumab/Nivolumab: Background

@US_FDA approves its newest checkpoint inhibitor, relatlimab (LAG-3 inhibitor), in combo with nivo for advanced stage melanoma. Recent RELATIVITY-047 results of nivo+rela vs nivo: mPFS (10.2 vs 4.6 mo), mOS (NR vs 34.1 mo), G3/4 trAEs (21.1% vs 11.1%)
Major bummer that the #melanoma bem-peg (IL2) + nivo is a neg trial. Field opinion was split on this & the minimal phase 2 development/monoRx was a red flag. Hope this does not halt the dev of novel IL2's & other cytokines which are still promising.
