ProtestantISM, itself, is not salvific.

That does not mean that protestANTS will therefore, in every case, not be saved.

There are many Catholics who won’t be saved either, because they will have fallen into mortal sin and not repented before death. So we don’t presume on ourselves either.

When you study Scripture’s use of terms like “in Christ,” “in the Lord,” “in God” (and its variants, such as “in him,” and when Christ says “in me,” etc.), Catholic theology of baptism, justification, the sacraments, mortal sin, the state of grace, etc. shines through brilliantly.

I’ll be posting a new “Study Bank” with every instance in which this occurs in the New Testament.

I’ve done the same with words like “grace,” “justification,” “baptism,” etc. and their variants.

Again, when you simply lay out all the data, it’s amazing how much clearer things become.

With each passing day, I am more and more astounded at how biblical the Catholic Faith is. I simply needed to have the humility to accept my need for a Teacher, the Church that can say “it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us” (Acts 15:28).

It is unfathomably deeper than I ever thought. I was trained not to see it for most of my life.

Once those blinders came off, by the grace of God, endless streams of light have shone forth. So many things I had questions about for so many years suddenly made wonderful, coherent sense.

The Bible has never been more alive, more awe-inspiring, more intelligible, more comprehensive across Old and New Testaments, than since I became Catholic.

⁃Numbers 21:9 “Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it up as a sign.”

⁃1 Kings 6:23-29 (walls of temples covered with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers)

⁃1 Kings 7:25-45 (more bronze images inside the temple: sea, oxen, and lions)
