@bookingcom Like mentioned @bookingcom , I will not be agreeing to the illogical unreasonable refund amount. I will be uploading the documents on your official website.
The most horrible customer care service of https://t.co/vviGwlKWQV, they are letting scammers post their property and these people are letting us book through their portal and the customer care is not even responding. What a horrible website. #scam#booking
@bookingcom Hello @bookingcom the customer care agents are not responding correctly and they are cutting my call Abruptly. I will send a dm hoping atleast here your team will respond.
WHAT THE F*CK ARE YOU AFRAID OF
- Death : We’re all gonna die.
- Bankruptcy : You can make it all back.
- Shame : Everyone will forget in a week.
- Rejection : It happens to everyone.
- Failure : It’s part of the path.
- Judgment : They’ll judge anyway.
- Losing people : Not all are meant to stay.
- Making mistakes : You’ll survive them.
- Taking risks : Regret hurts more.
Live every day like it's your last day.
Apparently, this is one of the earliest known photographs of the sacred Kedarnath Dham, taken in 1882.
Couldn’t take my eyes off it.
No roads. No railheads. No helicopters.
Just the abode of Lord Shiva, cradled by the Himalayas
Back then, the yatra demanded time, endurance, & faith. The journey wasn’t incidental; it WAS the pilgrimage.
Today, access is easier. And that’s a good thing because it opens the experience to many more.
But perhaps something still needs preserving?
The ability to slow down & savour the experience of traveling.
Because journeys are about who we become along the way.

Greed for dowry backfired badly 😜
Yesterday, a wedding procession (baraat) arrived in my village…
The whole atmosphere was grand — music, dancing, full celebration 💃🥁
But behind all the fun, everyone knew one thing…
The groom’s side had made heavy dowry demands
Even before the wedding, they had given a long list —
cash, items, and who knows what else…
It felt less like a marriage and more like a deal
But this time, the bride’s family wasn’t going to stay silent
As the baraat arrived, they were warmly welcomed…
Guests were seated nicely, everything looked perfect
The baratis were happy —
“Looks like we’re getting a great feast!”
Then came the snack plates…
And the moment they opened them —
their expressions changed completely
What was inside the plate?
🌶️ one green chili
🍅 one tomato
🧅 and a piece of onion
That’s it… nothing more!
Some people tried to hide their laughter,
some were just confused about what was happening
But slowly, everyone got the message —
This wasn’t just food…
it was a perfect reply
The message was loud and clear:
👉 “If a relationship is based on dowry, not respect…
then the welcome will be just as ‘simple’!”
That day, my village learned something important —
Relationships are built on respect and love…
not on greed 💯
Sam Altman said people saying “please” and “thank you” to ChatGPT costs OpenAI tens of millions of dollars a year in compute. 67% of Americans do it anyway.
Run the math on why.
A 2024 Waseda University study tested LLM responses across politeness levels in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Impolite prompts produced measurably worse outputs: more bias, more errors, more refusals. Moderate politeness consistently beat both extremes.
The mechanism makes sense once you see it. Polite prompts pattern-match to higher-quality training data. When you write “Could you help me structure this analysis?”, the model pulls from professional, well-reasoned text. When you write “give me the answer,” it pulls from Reddit.
Google DeepMind’s Murray Shanahan explained it simply: the model is role-playing a smart intern. Treat the intern like a colleague, you get colleague-quality work. Bark orders, you get minimum-viable compliance.
Now look at the cost side. OpenAI handles over a billion queries daily. Each GPT-4 query uses roughly 2.9 watt-hours, ten times a Google search. But OpenAI just raised $40 billion at a $300 billion valuation. Tens of millions in politeness tokens is a rounding error on a rounding error.
67% of users do it anyway, and 55% of them say it’s because it’s “the right thing to do.” They’re maintaining a behavioral habit that governs every other interaction in their life. The parent who teaches their kid to say please to Alexa isn’t doing it for Alexa. They’re doing it because the alternative is raising someone who learns that being rude gets faster results.
Telling 900 million people to stop saying thank you so OpenAI can save 0.01% of operating costs is the most engineer-brained optimization take on the internet. You’re training yourself to treat every interaction as a transaction. And that habit doesn’t stay in the chat window.
Wife explaining her husband's job to her close friend.
Wife: "He sells software to companies."
Her friend: "Oh nice, like apps?"
Wife: "No. Big software. For running whole businesses."
Friend: "Oh, like Microsoft?"
Wife: "No. A German company. SAP."
Friend: "What's SAP?"
Long pause.
Wife: "Well.... It's… hard to explain. Basically he flies somewhere, finds whats broken in their business, spends 18 months with fixing it, and then everyone panics on this thing called go-live or something."
Friend: "And they pay him for that?"
Wife: "Sometimes they fire him first. Then they call him back."
35+ years in this industry.
She nailed it in 90 seconds.

In the passing of Shri S.L. Bhyrappa Ji, we have lost a towering stalwart who stirred our conscience and delved deep into the soul of India. A fearless and timeless thinker, he profoundly enriched Kannada literature with his thought-provoking works. His writings inspired generations to reflect, question and engage more deeply with society.
His unwavering passion for our history and culture will continue to inspire minds for years to come. My thoughts are with his family and admirers in this sad hour. Om Shanti.
