Jackson Borchardt @tcgcards and my paper on Cl systematics in arc magmas just came out. We use amphiboles to reconstruct pre-eruptive Cl contents of arc magmas. We show, perhaps not surprisingly, that Cl behaves as an incompatible element and thus becomes progressively enriched with differentiation. However, when a magma saturates in water, Cl follows the water. Thus, Cl content can be used to reconstruct how much water has been lost.

The Greenland shark is a species of shark that can live for over 400 years, making it one of the longest-living vertebrates on Earth .
Scientists used radiocarbon dating to unlock this secret, revealing one female to be a staggering 400 years old! Growing a mere 1 cm per year, these slow-maturing creatures reach sexual maturity around 150 years.
Thriving in the frigid depths of the North Atlantic, these behemoths can reach 5 meters in length, captivating anyone who encounters them.
Sadly, many Greenland sharks suffer from partial blindness due to a persistent parasite that attaches to their eyes. Despite this challenge, these resilient creatures continue to thrive in the icy depths, captivating researchers and ocean enthusiasts alike.

@MushtaqBilalPhD This is a good one if one is looking for a comprehensive overview with a few good references. But Research Rabbit is so much better for finding papers!
ChatGPT generates fake references to papers that don't exist.
So, researchers at Stanford built Storm.
It's an AI-powered app that generates well-researched articles with references to published sources.
Here's how to use it:
