@doctorveera The journal has shared this SharedIt link to access the full version of the article for free: https://t.co/WhO5kYJ5bJ @doctorveera always a pleasure collaborating with you <3
Association of polygenic scores for neuropsychiatric traits with self-reported professions based on analysis of 420k individuals from UK Biobank and Million Veteran Program. Look at the 'arts & design' category. Artistic talent comes at a cost--a piece of your mind :)

First GWAS of binge eating disorder using machine learning-based EHR phenotype @NatureGenet. One of the GWAS hits is hemochromatosis variant C282Y in HFE implicating iron metabolism in disease etiology. Congrats @panos_roussos@voloudakis and team.

New GWAS of ADHD based on 38,691 cases and >180k controls.
Congrats! @DemontisDitte, @AndersBorglum, @iPSYCHdk and collaborators. 🧵

Phenotype misclassifications in the GWAS cohorts dilute effect sizes and reduce statistical power. Here the authors describe a statistical approach to quantify and adjust for effect size dilutions in GWAS meta-analysis. Interesting!

Better late than never. Happy and relieved to share a final published version of one of my PhD projects in which we uncovered a fascinating genetic link between language ability, psychiatric risk and creativity. 🧵

We would like to share with you our recently published article “Identification of shared and differentiating genetic risk for autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and case subgroups.” https://t.co/bJL9oze8FO… Details below.
Today @RegeneronDNA celebrates the publication of genetic discovery and functional validation of ANGPTL7 as a highly promising drug target for glaucoma.

I’m happy to share a preprint of our new GWAS of depression, identifying 64 new risk loci, refining the genetic architecture and predicting risk of recurrence and comorbidities.

The first GWAS of binge eating disorder identifies loci near HFE, MCHR2 and LRP11. At the HFE locus, one of the risk variants is the hemochromatosis variant thereby linking iron overload with bing eating (looks like the opposite of iron deficiency and pica). Fascinating!
