The community engagement that has flourished around @m0dest___ 's Death & Taxes has been really amazing to see. @AndrewRiBT and a handful of other hoodlums have embodied that spirit in the 4 Horsemen collection minting later this morning.

In a very short period of time - they have brought together an amazing collection of artists to contribute works to this effort. @dangiuz , @deltasauce , @bagdelete , @ronnaldong - and yes - @m0dest___ all have pieces in this collection (along with 50+ other incredible artists).

7 months and 1 day...

That’s how long it’s been since I submitted the second version of A Testament to the Hardest Truth.

This Wednesday (EST), it finally mints as Card #504 in The Memes by @punk6529

I’m incredibly proud.

Not simply because it made it into the collection, but because of what went into it... The dead ends, discarded concepts, research, conversations, feedback, encouragement, support, ignored DMs and disappointments... All of it.

At its core, the work explores a truth I’ve spent years living. For many people around the world, Bitcoin isn’t primarily about getting rich. It’s about survival. The ability to preserve the value of your labour, savings and future in places where those things are taken from you.

To everyone who voted, challenged my thinking, offered feedback, encouraged me, or simply spent time engaging with the idea... thank you 🙏🏾

There’s absolutely zero pressure to mint. Art should be collected because it resonates, not because someone asks you to. But if the piece speaks to you, I’d be honoured to have your support.

One of the reasons I gave up on LA and California is people can walk around the streets of LA and say yep I’m voting for @MayorOfLA over someone like Rick Caruso.
You get what you vote for and I am pretty certain LA hasn’t hit rock bottom yet which is hard to believe if you walk around the city. So I’m expecting 4 more years of incompetence, greed and chaos even though there’s a solution right in front of them.
Hope to god @spencerpratt gets in but I have as much faith in the people of LA as I have in my 6 year old to wash his hands before eating. I could be surprised I guess.
