Dear @aoc and other useful idiots who only discover IHL if they think it hurts Israel:
No, Israel's attack did not violate international law, including your newfound darling 'AP II Article 7' rules against booby traps (which I bet you never heard of until today).
Here is why:
"If 4 armed guys enter my home, shoot one of my children after murdering my next door neighbors, then kidnap one of my other kids, and then they all run to their very large van, but inside their very large van are their wives (let’s say 3 wives per guy), and their children (let’s say 3 children per each wife, so 36 children in total), but to rescue and save my child I would have no choice but to take out all the wives and all the children, I can honestly tell you I wouldn’t hesitate for even a split second. My responsibility as a parent is to my child. That’s it.
Similarly, the responsibility of our military is to defend our people. Unlike EVERY other military on Earth, we actually warn our enemies that we’re coming, and drop millions of leaflets in their language with instructions to leave the war zone and evacuate to a secure route. We then take every possible precaution to not kill civilians.
Let me put this another way:
Part of the propaganda states that Israel has dropped more bombs on Gaza than two atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. But how many were killed by those atomic bombs? And yet in a densely populated area like Gaza, with Hamas using their own people as human shields, over 16000 Hamas terrorists have been killed, and yet only about 6-7000 civilians, which in terms of wars is the lowest number of civilian casualties to combatants in the history of wars.
Now you all can twist and manipulate and gaslight all you like. But you cannot change reality however much you try.
All the propaganda works, very very well admittedly, but only on the dumbest and most gullible minds the world has to offer. As for the rest of us, we see through the bullshit and simply laugh at the stupidity spreading around the world."

University presidents everywhere need to embrace this simple statement by Ben Sasse, President of the University of Florida:
"At the University of Florida, we have repeatedly, patiently explained two things to protesters: We will always defend your rights to free speech and free assembly—but if you cross the line on clearly prohibited activities, you will be thrown off campus and suspended. In Gainesville, that means a three-year prohibition from campus. That’s serious. We said it. We meant it. We enforced it. We wish we didn’t have to, but the students weighed the costs, made their decisions, and will own the consequences as adults. We’re a university, not a daycare. We don’t coddle emotions, we wrestle with ideas."

I am relieved that Liz Magill resigned as President of @Penn. This week, I viewed a highly restricted @IDF video of the Oct 7 Hamas massacre. I was sickened by video images I can never "unsee" and appalled by university presidents, like Liz Magill, who are OK with calls for Jewish genocide on their campuses. @MeritStMedia
