With a new government taking over, hopefully there will be some regard for the law. Chennai was earlier famous mainly for unregulated autorickshaw fares. It is now notorious for lack of usable footpaths. Boiling oil cauldrons are allowed on pavements!

We proudly call Bengaluru cosmopolitan and people-friendly. But will those words hold meaning for the next generation if this is the reality they grow up seeing?

I didn’t have an answer.
