Weigh in on @MetroTransitMN's draft plan for the D Line rapid bus route, which will run through Ward 11 on Chicago Avenue. Take a peek and submit your comments through March 6 https://t.co/nTNwDrY9aL
Today's a good day to check your sidewalk for icy spots and shoveling out packed snow that has been loosened by the warm weather.
(They ought to be checked every 1-2 days anyway)
No felony charges for man who killed a St. Paul runner with his car: https://t.co/kMxhByp0Sl. As we have reported, few drivers face major penalties after killing a pedestrian --> https://t.co/bUgcpzcGIB
Can we get an acknowledgement that bike/ped projects are actually car projects? If no cars, no separation from cars is needed and we have all the infra we need. Bike/ped projects are $$$ because cars. Therefore all bike/ped projects are for traffic throughput.
Guy with resolution about patient/staff ratios, talking about nurses who intentionally dehydrate themselves to keep from having to take a bathroom break. Sounds like me before I head to downtown Minneapolis.
"Something about being outdoors changes brain activity,' explained Joanna Scanlon, graduate student and lead author on the study...researchers hope to eventually use this information to make roads safer for bikers, runners, and pedestrians." @mindbodygreen https://t.co/UhQ5F8gV0V
Our cities continue to provide a basic transportation network only for cars/drivers. The rest of us left shuffling on ice & in the street. https://t.co/UsDuvTNiIm
Was able to walk at a very fast pace home from the bus stop tonight. But that is in spite of property owners inaction on clearing ice from the sidewalks. I have walked the route enough since the thaw/freeze last week that I have memorized where all the ice patches are.
@happifydesign i still report sidewalks to 311 even though it’s futile but i’ve taken to calling the businesses i walk by every day who don’t shovel. calling them every day it’s left unshoveled.
I fell into the snow getting on the bus here & needed help to get up. The person getting off the bus with a walker wasn’t able to at all. We need to do better w #mplssidewalks
