@hellbenthagen LOL! I used to do that in the early 2000s with a 1994-ish 1/2 ton Chevy. I was building a house in the middle of nowhere and needed a *lot* of gravel. The quarry was a few miles away, so I'd load it to the bumpstops. Not ideal, but it worked.
@timburchett I'm sure it's been said already, but I have no doubt this is why Walz was nominated for VP. If you consider what he appears to be getting away with in MN, think of scaling that on a national scale had they been elected...
@teachthemx3 I'm sure this has already been mentioned in one of the replies, but I've had this same dream more than a few times.....missing a class all semester and only realizing it a week before finals. Might have been the tacos the night before too. 🤣
@serendipitidoda Nice! I think my daughter (18) would like that - she's made some cool stuff in school. Hopefully no app is needed to activate/use... These days you never know.
@serendipitidoda Yep. I never took typing in high school (80s), so my typing is basically by "feel" and hearing the clicks. I can hear when I have a typo before I see it. The mechanical keyboard/switches rabbit hole runs deep though.
@bimbly@maybedanielleee My Dad always taught us that in the day time, a couple of headlight flashes work fine. At night, the dip down is nicer, and reserves the high beam flashes for "NOT YET!!!!". 🤣. .
@Elena__Carter__ I went to check the status of the review and I guess it's still pending. I had to look up how to check that. I'd forgotten that I've written a bunch of product reviews over the years (nothing recent). That feels like a lifetime ago... Hopefully it shows up soon!
Honest question - is this from one of the 2 poetry books, or destined for a future one? I have both checked out on KU, and I've bought the "(mostly) good thoughts" book (giving it to someone, but I'll probably end up buying "Reflections" and giving that one away as well, and buying them again for me). I don't see it in either one, and I like this one. Your books really resonate with someone who has loved and lost, whether through death or divorce, or maybe something else. Speaking from experience. Either way, I have been trying to convince someone to spend time healing themselves, and I think these books really help that process along. They did for me anyway. Keep up the good work!
@NYeoman@IndyCarRadio@IMS I do miss the voices from the mid-80s Indy 500 radio broadcasts, since those of us from Indiana had to listen to it live (local TV blackout). Solid family time with my parents and sister.
@AwaitingChrist As a kid my Dad and I used to watch this together, as it was one of his favorites. Of course, it's one of mine now and I've also introduced MY son to it as well.
@mitchellvii Probably has already been mentioned but it depends on which app or device you're using. I have a Garmin "always on" in my pickup, but if I'm headed somewhere unfamiliar, I use a smartphone map too. The latter usually routes around gravel if a paved alternate is available.
