We have a pair of Starlings nesting in the box just outside the shop. They have used this box every year for the last 6 years now, great news for a red list species! @SussexWildlife@BTO_GBW@Natures_Voice
JAC’s back!
A Cuckoo called JAC, who was fitted with a sat tag by @_BTO@BTO_Cymru at World’s End Llangollen in 2021, has completed his migration back to his breeding grounds here in Wales over the weekend.

Female (or young male?) Black Redstart at a private site near Eakring this afternoon, which I found whilst coming out of a work meeting. It flicked round my parked car (‘that wasn’t a Robin..!) before perching up in a tree for a minute or so.
Elegant Tern this morning at Lodmoor.
Got to the viewing shelter from West path shortly before it flew towards Weymouth bay.
Fantastic find by Geoff Barlow & thanks Daragh for the call.

I have seen many lovely things today but this is the most wonderful joyful moment as several hundred sand martins swirled around us & descended on the reeds. @ElmleyNNR
