Territorial shifts between pre-modern tribes ≠ industrial-scale colonisation.

What happened among Native nations were localized conflicts within a shared ecological system, no extermination campaigns, no biological warfare, no doctrine of racial superiority, no attempt to erase entire peoples from the earth.

What happened after Europeans arrived was something else entirely:
A settler-colonial project, not a tribal dispute.
A demographic replacement, not a boundary change.
Systematic extermination, not intertribal warfare.
Land seizure + racial ideology + forced assimilation, backed by state power and industrial weapons.

Calling genocide just “what everyone did” is historical laundering.
It’s the same logic every empire uses when it wants to feel innocent.

And it’s always ironic when the richest man on Earth preaches historical fatalism from land that was soaked in blood and stolen dreams.
