Support schools in fishing communities too, as @FishInitiatives we are working with @ProvenUganda to support girls stay in schools by skilling them in making reusable pads.
If @EnabelinUganda can join us to reach and skill more girls especially those in vulnerable communities.
It is a quiet but devastating reality that nature often dictates attendance; girls miss an average of 3 to 4 school days every month simply because they lack the dignity of private facilities.
The Knowledge, Attitude and Practices study in Busoga and Rwenzori region identifies menstrual health as a major driver of female dropout.
With Funding from the Belgian government, we are addressing this by integrating Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) into the core of school improvement as well as provision of emergency kits and education for both boys and girls to eliminate the teasing that often drives girls away.

🐟Aquatic foods are among the most nutritious and sustainable foods available and pivotal to delivering on the promise of healthy diets for a growing population within planetary boundaries.
But can sustainable production and greater availability of aquatic foods alone lead to healthier diets?
The bigger question becomes how do people choose what to buy when deciding what to cook in households.
In the Global South where child malnutrition remains widespread, this question is an urgent one.
Last week, WorldFish contributed to the launch of a new Aquatic Foods Consumption Workgroup, under the Global Action Network, during One Ocean Week in Bergen.
This came as a timely step to bridge the missing link between production and consumption.
What will it take to bring dietary shifts toward more aquatic foods?
