A fascinating continuous Attack vs Defence practice from Manchester United's training session ahead of their lunchtime clash with Chelsea tomorrow.

What stands out tactically is the absence of a central numerical overload. Instead, the practice challenges players to press with collective intensity, coordinated movements and clear pressing triggers.

United appear to be working on something they've lacked in recent weeks: pressing as a connected unit rather than as individuals.

The key isn't simply to press harder. It's knowing WHEN to press, WHO initiates the pressure and HOW teammates react to lock the opposition in.

⚽ HOW THE PRACTICE WORKS

🔴 6 players in possession, supported by the goalkeeper and an end line neutral player who joins from the non active zone.
🎯 3 points for scoring into the mini goals.
🔄 1 point for transferring possession into the opposite zone after completing a set number of passes.
⚡ On regaining possession, the pressing team immediately transitions to attack the main goal.

✅ Recognising pressing triggers
✅ Coordinating pressure, cover and balance
✅ Turning defensive regains into immediate attacking opportunities
The big question: can United transfer this intensity and coordination from the training pitch into their performance against Chelsea? 👀
