@dancenav@ThePrimeagen I hate the argument of 'Students need to know the basics', but copilot will not help you out in all cases, and you are often solving real problems that you would also have during your job.
@dancenav@ThePrimeagen Mhh not sure if i agree on that. Students are there to learn, not just pump out code. You have no reason to do code formatting yourself, but installing X framework by hand, or solving Y problem with googling and stackoverflow is a very good learning experience for many.
🇳🇱 Het is zover! 🚀
@onmytide How did you setup the TF lib to work in C? I have been looking around to do something similar but the official c lib is undocumented at best.
@pers0naluni0n@HetznerStats This was a large (from the numbers i've heard, real fucking large) incoming carpetbomb attack. Those are just insanely hard to block without causing issues for normal customers.
@Jespertheend @Paul_Ewe See if you can find info for their hosting provider, if you can't find those try to find the contact information for the CERT of the country hosting the service as they often have some power from the government to deal with this kind of issue as it is involving passports etc.
@OttoTheGeek @2xTacker@docm77 if it was just singleplayer or private smp's it would probably have been left in. You coud say they would make settings to turn these bugs off but that tends to get messy really quickly.
@OttoTheGeek @2xTacker@docm77 The issue is minecraft is largely a multiplayer game with a large amount of the playerbase playing on third party servers. As a server owner these kind of exploits are often detrimental if you want to preserve some sort of player-vs-player economy. They are very cool but harmful.
@PhilippWin@netblocks@Rubiu5@TheGrefg@auronplay@aLexBY11@markusdd5 it is way harder to know down a network with the capacity of germany or the netherlands. But certainly possible to take down a larger part of a country. The current sizes of attacks that we've seen on minecraft servers is certainly enough to take down a lot of of infrastructure.
@TheRealRevK @monzo @MonzoBusiness Only issue being you sadly have even less chance of a client paying if you add penalties and most small businesses do not have the legal power to force someone to pay.
@TheRealSirCode@LexManos@SilverDavid_MC What he means is that you should use a cryptographic hash function so the password isn't leaked if the db becomes public. Hash functions are always fixed-length which is part of what makes them more secure.
@T4rFr4e @adrian_ivl Would be cool, but i doubt mojang gives a shit after not doing anything about performance since 1.13.
Wild guess but could it just be because microsoft wants to sell more pcs > more windows licences > more money?
@James09302000 @DomBednar @FearlessSquadHD @MojangSupport I have implemented two factor systems for multiple companies with multiple proprietary systems and a good amount of clients. It is not as hard as it seems. And certainly easier than a secure migration system.
