What matters to me: My family, my dog, my friends, humanity, encouraging people to take care of each other, gratitude.

It turns out it’s not just biology and medicine, Anthropic has also decided to gate-keep math! This is as dystopian as it gets! This is the only nightmare scenario I am worried in the age of AI. Accumulation of all AI power in one company who will be the decider what you can use!
@heyydude@elonmusk@SpaceX@Tesla@X 30% is available to retail investors, but I would caution anyone to really read the prospectus and understand what you might be facing in terms of risk/reward.
Let me spill the beans on how Twitter actually works.
First thing I need all of you to understand is that the largest accounts/influencers here are effectively unemployed. Why? This is just what the algorithm incentivizes.
See, The Algorithm is like a lottery. You gotta post a lot consistently and then The Algorithm will choose a tweet to promote crazily. So this means people who post a lot will do well on Twitter, i.e. they have a lot of free time and nothing else to do, i.e. they are probably unemployed or tweeting is their job.
If you think about this carefully, it implies a lot of stuff. Like much of the narratives and conversations are being guided by terminally online posters. Do you really think this is a good representation of the general population and their views?
Do you think they represent the people at the top of their field? No! The people at the top of their field are too busy working on important problems to be tweeting constantly in a way favored by The Algorithm.
The Algorithm FAVORS MEDIOCRITY.
Now think about if companies and other influential individuals want to control the narratives here on Twitter, who would they pay? The accounts doing well, i.e. unemployed people, who also would be more motivated to accept the money to post certain things (because they are unemployed and need money lol)
I am glad that Twitter has added paid partnership disclosure. If you are paying attention to your feed carefully, you may notice a shockingly high amount of tweets with that tag. Now think about how many accounts are probably not disclosing their paid partnerships.
The entire Twitter feed is a COMPLETE PSYOP that gives you a warped view of reality, with people and companies paying unemployed people to promote their narratives.
(As a side note I have received many paid partnership requests in my DMs, which I of course have ignored or rejected. But it makes it clear to me how much of what becomes trending just on AI side of Twitter is completely artificially promoted!!)
All the true alpha is in small accounts with little number of followers.
All of this is really basic stuff tbh but I thought it would be helpful to lay it out.
Michelle Thaller of NASA: "There are things like ghosts & aliens which are outside the measurements of science, that does not mean that they are not real" 👽
As an astrophysicist who's talked to many of them, she approaches these stories with empathy rather than dismissal. "I would listen to people's stories about you know I traveled in time or I was abducted by an alien etc....These stories may be real"
She told Joe Rogan there's often little difference between a time traveler and an alien in these accounts. Science has limits in explaining profound personal experiences, but genuine curiosity and open dialogue matter more than quick judgment.
@thsottiaux did something happen with the weekly limits? Mine reset yesterday and then just reverted back a few minutes ago and now I have 2% left and the date is May 19th for my reset date again.
Thanks for any help.
