New: The Washington Post reconstructed journalist Amal Khalil’s final hours in Lebanon found that Israel’s military denied rescuers access to her during a key period when she was still alive.

No matter how much time passes, I think getting one-shot by a white Mormon kid while blaming gun violence on black people will forever be the worst debate loss. It will never get worse than that. Ever.
Suddenly all the people who cared about human rights when Russia and Qatar hosted the world cup and suddenly quiet. .. No fancy documentary from the BBC on immigrants rights. No expose on Crime in inner cities (as we saw in South Africa)
Just silence.
An old video, but an important reminder.
Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, now 100 years old, making his entrance at a Satmar anti-Zionist gathering before a massive crowd.
A reminder of a reality rarely shown by mainstream media:
Hundreds of thousands of Jews around the world oppose Zionism and reject the claim that the State of Israel represents Jews.
Judaism and Zionism are opposites

Amazon warehouse workers skipping bathroom breaks to save their jobs, forced to pee in bottles, and delivery drivers collapsing in the heat.
Meanwhile, Amazon owner Jeff Bezos became one of the richest men in human history.
A remarkable achievement of modern capitalism.
A key coal benchmark for Asia rose to the highest level in nearly two years as Indonesia’s new export rules delayed shipments, tightening supplies just as demand for the power-plant fuel rises with the onset of summer https://t.co/Vvz63TmPDX
According to the National Literacy Institute's 2024 data, 54% of American adults read below a 6th grade level, down nearly 10 points since 2017.
But sure, Vietnam has a literacy problem.
Meanwhile you've argued that Vietnam's success proves capitalism works, in a country governed without interruption by a communist party, that you also won't give credit for that success.
There is no version of that position that is intellectually honest.
If you want to judge character, watch how someone behaves after a small taste of authority. The polite mask begins to loosen, the voice changes, the favors become commands, and the old humility quietly disappears. Power does not corrupt as much as it reveals.
Trump walking out on Kristen Welker today reminded me of his 60 Minutes interview with Lesley Stahl in 2020. Different interviewer, same result: when he can’t control the narrative, he walks out like the petulant man-child he is. Fucking snowflake.
These tool are great to get the information but "You need to show your work"!
I am currently in the process of hiring new employees for office work to support our North American Customers. My partner had a stroke so I am now running his / ours business (I am the silent investor. I am retired from a management role at a fortune 500 company.)
As part of the interview process (they are told in advance too) I now have the candidates do the following in a conference room (all EEOC approved).
1) We lock their phone up in one of those bags that lets them keep it but not use it like at weddings or concerts.
2) We give them 9 math questions that most high school seniors can answer and 1 thats College Equivalent.
3) We ask them to write a one page or less summary of an event that happened in history.
4) We give them a US Rand McNally Road atlas and a ruler. The question is to tell me how to get from point A to B in miles and driving time assuming (55 MPH).
The results are unbelievable without their phone or internet - College degreed people that can't write, can't calculate the area of 3 different size rooms let alone plan a trip to Disney World by car! (These are Div I Colleges that charge $$$$ per semester)
