@MartinSLewis when is it likely that energy companies will offer some decent fixed rate deals? I can’t be the only one fed up with being forced to accept variable rate tariffs? After all the big energy companies are still posting big profits….
We’re a great bunch @CFTyneWearNland inspiring #philanthropy and funding amazing #smallbutvital charities. And we’re recruiting! For our next board chair and for two paid roles. Check it all out here https://t.co/nTPiymcbK2
Sums up my thinking on the subject. #COVID19 spreads with more people to people interactions. Will miss seeing Mum and wider family but it’s the right choice
Genuinely annoyed today ... the #nurses and other healthcare workers get nothing from the Government. Pay deals negotiated way before the #COVID19 pandemic, that weren’t great anyway are not justification for not recognising them now.@10DowningStreet time to reconsider?!
Week in, week out he @CFTyneWearNland gives grants to local charities and groups who need vital help through the #COVID19 pandemic. We run a slick system and are not the slow, dithering Government. Proud to be part of the team led by @RobCFTyne
Prof Van Tam showing the backbone that we have desperately needed to see over the past week
“In my opinion the rules are clear and they have always been clear...they are for the benefit of all...and they apply to all”
Please RT if you agree with him
Some people in the UK....where has your common sense gone? We all want to enjoy these great places again, but this isn’t sensible right now. Great points by @JasonManford.
What does Third Sector Trends tell us about the size of the sector? Well it's not insignificant and again there has been a rise since the last report #ThirdSectorTrends
Been isolating at home with my wife & kids for a week now. For my contribution to home schooling my kids (aged 6 & 4) I chose the most obvious thing - creating a shot-by-shot recreation of the jet pack sequence from THUNDERBALL out of LEGO. [turn sound on] #JamesBond@LEGO_Group
Please watch this inspiring video of how funds from @CFTyneWearNland are making a real difference across #Northumberland, #Tyne and #Wear during #Covid19UK
As we reach £1.5m raised through our Coronavirus Funds, we wanted to say a HUGE thank you to our donors including @NewcastleBSoc@VMFoundation Sir James Knott Trust and the many donors via @NatEmergTrust & JustGiving. Here's the difference you're making

A really good and important read for anyone wanting to understand how the public outpouring of generosity for NHS-linked causes is actually working. Ellie Orton: 'The £92m we've raised for the NHS will never replace state funding' https://t.co/iy3tXPeBfK
6 weeks, £1m (actually more like £1.2m with more coming) but most importantly half has been allocated to groups already and applications and are now open.
My wife and I now have a quarantine habit of getting up half an hour before the children so we can sit quietly and stare out of the window together, and it is one of the highlights of my day.
