$30K Day with eCom - Day 1
A lot happened over the past few months...
We had a product giving us green signs, but also enough red flags to keep second-guessing it.
Worked our asses off, tried multiple things, and hired people to help with creative strategy...
Even hired another agency as a last resort.
Maybe it was just a skill issue?
Agency was a flop for us.
So I took creative strategy back into my own hands and launched a new product.
Created a 5-minute VSL...
And started seeing great results immediately.
Current sit ->
Waiting for more customer feedback before we have the green light to scale.
In the meantime, building a process to push out more ads daily, test landing pages, and push this product further.
Decided to document the whole journey here and hold myself accountable.
Let’s see where this goes.

we are fucking back.
the new ad completely took over the spend in the account...
I found an ad from an adjacent competitor, understood the storyline and plugged in our mechanism, product and avatar.
it took off.
next goal -> $5k/day with this product.
current sit ->
testing a new product page to increase the conversion rate and hopefully allow us to increase the price.
might replace our 3PL after finding someone with cheaper pricing. this would help our economics a lot.
also hiring and onboarding 3 more editors so we can move much faster.
still dealing with 7-day payouts and looking into Airwallex.
for now, back to finding proven ads, understanding the storylines and rewriting them manually.
Optimizing before maximizing is something that people should not neglect.
Scaling too fast without having the right processes in place will hurt you. That is how I lost my 8 figure brand.
Just because you got a good roas doesn't mean you should scale tf out of it
Motion feeds obsession

$30k/day with eCom - Day 2
yesterday the VSL i created took a dive in the account...
while creating another VSL, i realized the current one didn't really have a clear angle.
went deeper into high stakes, authority, positioning and the product mechanism.
scripted a new VSL and sent it to my editor.
it started picking up spend while the other VSL died down. this morning it's looking much better and super profitable.
- created new hooks for the first VSL because the hook rate was only 25%. not picking up much spend yet
- still waiting on customer feedback before scaling
- need to test new offers because our economics aren't strong enough yet improving contribution margin is a big priority
- looking into Airwallex for faster payouts + Shop Pay. currently still stuck on 7-day payouts
good signs so far.
next step is finding more angles and understanding our customer better.
see you tomorrow!
I need help with getting faster payouts from shopify. We are still stuck at a 7 day payout even though we fulfill fast and have a low chargeback rate. Any tips?? THANKS
@SplendorBen We are not a new store and this has been open for a year now. We are fulfilling orders fast and provide tracking to each order. I might have to call them and see whats up. Thanks man!
