Update on our Interim Constitutional Committee seat

Following announcements from @emurgo_io, @InputOutputHK, and @Cardano_CF, Intersect’s Constitutional Council will not be seeking election to the forthcoming Constitutional Committee.

This is a deliberate step as Intersect evolves, recommitting to its founding purpose and embracing its role as a lighter, neutral support layer for the Cardano ecosystem. This decision, made first by our member-led Council, then the Steering Committee and Governing Board, completes the mix of all appointed ICC seats stepping aside from re-election.

It is a move that also affirms Intersect’s new direction: to serve the Cardano ecosystem as a neutral enabler, creating conditions for builders, SPOs, developers, dApp teams, researchers, and governance thinkers to thrive.

A huge thank you to our members who have served in this volunteer role: @hoskytoken @Bitcows @M3RSEE @MauroAndreoliA @UbioObu @HephyPool @jsierrax, and previously @adanorthpool @ElCryptonaut @AdamRusch.

Intersect’s seat on the ICC will continue until the newly elected Committee takes effect on September 1, 2025. We extend our deepest gratitude for their foundational work during this interim period.

And don’t forget, registrations are still open for the Constitutional Committee elections. We encourage passionate individuals, collectives, or institutions to stand as candidates. Applications close May 31 at 18:00 UTC.

It has been a privilege to serve as Interim CC members since the Chang Hard Fork in September 2024. We’re proud of the role we’ve played in interpreting and upholding the Constitution during this pivotal moment in Cardano’s governance journey.

With strong candidates like @tingvard, @CardanoAtlantic and @EasternCardano stepping up, we're confident in the CC's future.

Our commitment to supporting the CC remains steadfast, and we will continue to fulfill our responsibilities during the remainder of our Interim term.

Should the community call on us in challenging times, we stand ready to serve again, to protect the protocol and uphold the Constitution.

We also remain strong advocates for ensuring future CCs are properly resourced. This is essential to maintaining their independence and enabling the diligent execution of their responsibilities.
