“terrorist .. posing an immediate threat” was literally a 3 year old girl, Ahed Tareq Al-Bayouk, murdered by Israeli forces today in front of her family's tent in the Al-Mawasi region, southern Gaza
"The words 'never again' are a big part of growing up Jewish. When I saw the slaughter in Gaza, I came to understand that...they just meant 'never again for us'."
Ben Cohen, co-founder of Ben & Jerry's, says his Jewish upbringing gave him "so much sympathy for people that are oppressed".

@benjaminbutter@stephenwhittle How do you measure if somebody's mind and physicality fit? What do you suggest is done to support people with eating disorders, whose mind insists they are eg. hugely overweight, and starve themselves to literal death because of this mismatch?
@ClarkeMicah How many deaths do you think would be worth worrying about in Feb/March 2020, given there was no vaccine, inadequate PPE, no test and trace, and people didn't know that it was a respiratory disease AND a vascular disease?
@igorpellacani @NikosSan1312 @RupertLowe10 The point is that this problem is more than 5 years old and isn't specific to London. Hell, it could happen in Great Yarmouth, if they're not all busy yelling at rowing boats
@EleanoraStats This young man was clearly very vulnerable and needy and struggled to cope with the challenges of life. It is very likely he has a complex personal history. Seeking solutions in trans ideology was a fatal mistake.
Incredibly sad, but you need to stop being dishonest.
He was kicked off the women’s team because he was a man, not because he was trans.
Perhaps if everyone had been honest with him and encouraged him to get the help he needed, to accept who and what he was — a male — instead of lying to him and validating his delusions he might still be alive.
When you are complicit in the lie, you are complicit in the consequences of that lie.
We still remember when Labour in opposition (quite rightly) criticised Suella Braverman for political interference in the operational decision-making of the Metropolitan Police. It seems Morgan McSweeny and Keir Starmer’s memories aren’t quite as long as ours…
As a lad who grew up in the eighties, it’s quite the thing to see the U.K. Conservative Right come out in favour of travelling far right football ultras.
Strange times.
@LegalGengar@AyoubKhanMP That is actually incorrect, alas. Pro-Palestine demonstrations were relocated further from the football stadium. Maccabi supporters attacked a taxi and burned a Palestine flag the day before the match, and had a police escort to the stadium, where they continued to be unruly
@LegalGengar@AyoubKhanMP People - regardless of faith, ethnicity, etc - should be able to attend events safely. Which is why the violent criminals that follow Maccabi Tel Aviv are not permitted to attend. We've seen what they did in Amsterdam.
