@KatDorrough @ArcticFox_am_I@AlbertTLunde@DrDeeKnight@sheriantoinette If not a member of the Body Politic COVID-19 Support Group. I highly recommend signing up. It's been a godsend. Thousands like us.

So proud of @LisaAMcCorkell & @netiamccray, both commended by @AyannaPressley in convo about the #LongCovid moonshot!
"Shoutout to Lisa McCorkell who authored that article, we've worked closely with her & I want to name her & encourage folks to share it!"

Being behind in an area because you had to focus on survival and/or healing is not something to be ashamed of. It’s something to be proud of. That was wise. It was a sacrifice. I hope you feel bold in taking up space as and where you are.
Seattle Police Officer Daniel Auderer caught on bodycam laughing about 23-year-old grad student Jaahnavi Kandula, who was struck and killed by his colleague, Officer Kevin Dave, on Jan. 23.
Prayers for Jaahnavi's family. 🙏🏼

I’ve had #LongCovid – exhaustion, exertion intolerance, concussion-like symptoms – for 3+ years. When I initially asked for help, doctors said my symptoms weren’t real. I wrote this piece for @HuffPost to help others facing #medicalgaslighting https://t.co/OMkcjfbTWc
I want to start a new tradition that I hope this community will keep doing every Severe ME/CFS Awareness Day no matter what happens to me (I’m not planning on going anywhere ;)
New post on my blog:

Today we honor and recognize #SevereMEDay. Severe ME Day is a day of remembrance when we think of those we have lost to myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) and focus on those living with severe ME. For all those who have severe ME, we love you and we are fighting with you. #pwME
I’m just beginning the process of filing for disability due to #LongCovid#MECFS.
Though too soon to have hit an issue it is one I’ve heard much about.
Thankfully I have savings but those will only go so far without the physical ability to work a traditional full-time job.
The earliest decription of post infectious syndromes and manifestations like #LongCovid I could find was in 430 B.C. During the plague of Athens called "Λοιμός" in Greek, documented by Thucydides, a historian who was fortunate to survive the disease himself.
@BynThereDoneTht Lots of canned soups, beans, rice, and sandwiches. I manage to cook for myself about once per week and save the leftovers for quick meals.
The rest are meals delivery through grubhub, etc.
@sorenable It’s pure genius. I’ve never seen it done so well. I literally found myself laughing at a non-satirical archaeological documentary simply imagining what Philomena Cunk would say.
@Myrmec@shelleyjules@morganstephensa I’ve slowly come to accept the fact that I’m effectively disabled. Yet anyone who sees me would never know until I suddenly have to spend the next week alone in a blacked out room.
