The funniest thing about the woke is how utterly interesting they think they are.

To the substantive point, Hamas doesn’t work for Iran. Hamas is Sunni, Iran Shia. They had a dramatic falling out over Syria. Neither works for the other.

But Hamas will, sooner or later, attack Israel again, believing the broader Iran-led muqawama is behind it, because Iran will have rearmed it and funded and helped plan that inevitable next attack. And both will behave this way for all time. It is all they are. It is the essential demand of their religious worldview.

The next war is thus guaranteed. And Hamas/Iran will ensure it. And the Matthews of the world are perfectly comfortable with that. Because in the ideological mushiness of present-day thirdworldist wokism, we’re all ideological constructs, not human beings.

My role in this vapid morality play is to die in ignominy, Hamas’s is to triumph over white colonialists, and the millions trampled along the way are barely even a footnote in the woke imagination. That’s how Iran’s vast crimes can be ignored, Hamas’s agency can be denied and any human suffering that doesn’t fit their one neat little conclusion can be safely tucked away as unimportant.
