It is with great sadness that I have to announce that the owner of this account, @wolfbabes, passed away Sunday night 2/8/2026, but thankfully she is now with her savior.
For security purposes this account will be shutting down. Anyone posting from this ID after today should be considered an imposter.

Folks, since my reach has been throttled, please help me get this amplified so that the press can finally start asking the right questions. It's 4 pm on the 7th day of this outage and we've got at least 30 trucks (including 20+ linemen bucket trucks) in a church parking lot, just sitting and waiting to be assigned to an outage. They've been there ALL DAY.
NES: What is the point of pulling all these linemen away from their families if you're processes are so deeply broken that you can't even figure out where to deploy them?
This is just one of multiple rows of linemen sitting and waiting for NES to tell them where to go:
“12:15am. He wakes me up to let me know our boy has a high blood sugar. He’s incredible. Even when he’s sleeping, he wakes up when he smells a problem with our boy. He then hops onto my bed and wakes me up. He beats the Dexcom CGM by 15-30+ minutes consistently!
Being a diabetic alert dog to a little boy is a lot of work and he does an incredible job. But his ability to continue that work at night when he’s sleeping is NEXT LEVEL INCREDIBLE. “

Dogs are awesome 🥰
NOW-3PM: Brown’s Diner in the Hillsboro area is having a parking lot cookout, giving away free food. The owner says they are giving the gift of warmth and good food to those who have been without power since the ice storm. Any donations will go to their staff @WKRN
@robbystarbuck@NESpower@robbystarbuck I smell a fraud investigation that needs to happen... I'd bet if you dig in to NES's tree trimming contracts you will find fraud, fraud, and fraud.
The answer is yes. It became clear from near-term forecasts BEFORE the bulk of the ice formed, and when the roads were still passible, that we were going to be hammered by freezing rain.
We keep hearing how this is a “historic, unprecedented event.” Agreed, so we should have seen historic and unprecedented preparation and now historic and unprecedented SURGING of assets into the area.
NES seems to have been acting oblivious as the forecasts became more certain in the preceding WEEK, and now slow to act in the aftermath.
You already answered your own question @FOXNashville, now go hold people accountable.
In Nashville we are in the wake of a historic snow/ice storm. Trees down on cars & houses, over 100 elec poles have snapped, impeding the Linemen working even as more trees are falling. I want to thank ALL Linemen! We appreciate all you do 4 us. Be safe we are thinking of you. x
City is a wreck. From house fires, to catastrophic tree damage causing power and travel issues, its gonna take a bit to recover. Patience is key.
Here are some of the sites around Bellevue (SW Nashville) this morning.

Ensure your home will be ready to receive power.
After a major storm like this, it’s important to know where our role ends and yours begins. NES maintains and repairs the lines leading to your house, but homeowners are responsible for the equipment on the house.
If your weatherhead, power mast, or meter base are damaged, our crews cannot safely reconnect your power. You will need to contact a licensed electrician for these repairs first.
We’re working around the clock to get Music City back online!

NES lineworkers are officially in the field and restoration work continues. Here is the latest on our efforts:
We have confirmed 38 broken poles so far. Currently, 3,000 outages are affecting more than 216,000 customers. Below is a video explaining our restoration process.
Freezing rain should clear in ~2 hours, but temperatures will continue to drop through tomorrow morning.
If you are without power and have not yet reported it, here are the best methods:
Call: 615-234-0000
Text: OUT to NESPWR (637797)
(Note: Your mobile number must be tied to your account for the text system to work.)
While we are making progress, we anticipate outage numbers may continue to climb as damage assessments continue. Thank you for your patience and stay safe! #WinterStorm2026

Nearly all of #Nashville (Davidson Co) is without power. Other hard-hit areas include northern Mississippi and Louisiana. Even though the precip is ending soon, these numbers may go up as winds increase behind the front. #TNwx#MSwx#LAwx#KYwx
