We present our preprint on ViV1T, a transformer for dynamic mouse V1 response prediction. We reveal novel response properties and confirm them in vivo.

New workshop! Just before SFN, join the @FlatironInst Center for Computational Neuroscience of the Simons Foundation for a workshop on pynapple and NeMoS. Learn how to use these open-source packages to analyze and model neural data! Accommodation & meals provided. Link⬇️
Want to be part of the NeuroAI community @CSHL?
Applications are open for outstanding graduate students in Artificial Intelligence to spend the summer at CSHL as NeuroAI Interns.
Deadline: Dec 10th, 2024. Please spread the word.

Thrilled to announce that I am starting as a Chancellor Fellow next week. It is an honor to be supported by the University of Edinburgh. Exciting times ahead developing new research ideas and growing up as a scientist! 💪
We need your help for TENSS to carry on and inspire the next generations of neuroscientists. Logistics costs have increased and funding sources are becoming scarcer. We are counting on support from the community. Please donate!

I did not contribute to this, but with how much @hdclarkr has helped me getting started on my own project, I felt that giving him a shout is the least I could do!
Latest paper from the Nolan lab, in @eLife:
Task-anchored grid cell firing is selectively associated with successful path integration-dependent behaviour https://t.co/eLdXWYb1VW
@hdclarkr found grid cells that switch between being task-anchored and encoding travelled distance independently from the task reference frame.
When the mice had to path-integrate, they found the reward more often when grid cells were task-anchored!
Our spatial-temporal ViT approach to predict thousands of 🐭 V1 neural response to movie clips came🥉in the Sensorium challenge! Looking forward to presenting our solution at #NeurIPS2023!

Can we use Biomedical Knowledge Graph Embeddings for solving polypharmacy tasks?
Yes! By fine-tuning neural link predictors trained on biomedical KGs, we achieve SoTA results in several polypharmacy tasks, like predicting the efficacy of drug pairs
