@paulg Well then I'm anti meritocracy
It's natural to have ties of affection to family, friends, neighbors and this bubble of concern plausibly stretch a certain distance
It cannot plausibly stretch across the whole world
I'm pro meritocracy for my people how about that?
@joekent16jan19 I agree it's complex, and I am not saying we ought to willy nillu go topple regimes
Tell me what you think about these statements:
- We never should have let the shah fall
- The regime does some bad things
- the regime sponsors terror and revolution across the Middle East
- the Iranian people are more like us than the Arabs
- Iran having a nuke would be a problem
I respect your service and intellect so legitimately curious where you land on those things
@RealNightNation The things that make it feel like an op:
Production value is high
Rousseau's name is on the nose
PF guys are all very fit and masked
They have uniforms (costumes?)
Rousseau's speeches very dialed in
@RealNightNation Evidence against PF being a simple Fed demoralization or scare campaign:
Rousseau doesn't preach violence, has logical and emotionally resonating arguments about the national identity, and has repeatedly not taken easy bait (oh you love Hitler right?)
@RealNightNation The fact that "you're a fed!" always comes up just shows how brutally effective the feds have been in infiltrating right wing groups. Makes me sick that no matter who is in charge our money is spent 24/7 to dox, demoralize, and destroy anyone left of Lenin
