My girlfriend's mum drives a 2016 VW TROC - fantastic car. Literally can't fault it. Perfectly presentable.

She was telling me how she wants to get a new car. I was like why? There is nothing wrong with yours? It's a great car. She said I just want a newer better car.

It literally doesn't compute in my head. Why get rid of a perfectly good car which has depreciated to then buy a newer car which will then depreciate, all just to do the same job. Runs to the supermarket / work etc. And she has a mortgage to pay.

People are wired to be poor I swear. I've been running a 2007 audi a4 for 3 years now. Cost me £2500. Hasn't put a foot wrong. Does the same thing as a car 5x it's "value".
