Hey biologist folks. What species are these critters? Seen at Eagle Cove, San Juan Island. Marching inland as the tide rises. Interestingly they were mostly jumping right at the apex of the log, and jumping in unison.

It turned out that the railroad network (microtubule array) in neurons is not stationary, as was expected. Instead, the network as a whole moves synchronously out of neurites into the soma.
