@natali_ivonn@eldelosmales As a gay man, I like a woman who has developed herself to be her own person and is no longer ruled by endless gender norms and related expectations of men.
When this happens they are the best people. But it seems to take until about menopause.
@aiApotheosis@NorthsideHosp America can never just think and do the right thing. It’s always either OxyContin for everyone or no opiates for anyone ever.
@VronskyBeat@fritzed_you It changes everything because women have a thousand subconscious expectations of men most of which are catered to by men eager for the slimmest of opportunities at sex.
As a gay man it is totally exhausting to deal with and frankly homophobic.
@fritzed_you Would a straight person even know how to function without the thousands of little gender norms governing them? And female imposition of these norms on gay men is one of the strongest forms of homophobia today and totally unacknowledged.
@markraymond@bri_guy_ny Not in isolation but anything that fetishizes the free market to the exclusion of the necessary role of good government perpetuates that dominant ideology and is therefore inescapably toxic.
@bryanrbeal It’s not social media it’s America. The culture is so dominant - for better and mostly for worse - that it’s barely recognized as a cultural choice at all.
@sfmcguire79 I have never met an actually smart person who needed to write things down to process thought but I’ve met plenty of people who think they’re very smart but aren’t who can’t “think” without it.
