@LinkedInLunat1c Why is LinkedIn broken:
- Too many job posts; making it difficult to filter authentic ones.
- It has become more of a social media app than a job finder.
- Big firms promote their job ads, taking in most of the traffic and the less popular & genuine ones become obscure.
Attention is true success.
The fewer and specific goals you chase, the more you achieve.
Attention divided over multiple goals is distraction in disguise with unanswered heuristics of priorities.
I had started exploring #DataEngineering a few months ago, wasn't consistent. Hopping back on the saddle.
I plan to learn these topics in the next 21 days:
> Git
> Agile
> Python (Revision)
> Elasticsearch
> REST APIs with Flask
> Apache Kafka
Ok, this thread took off.
For those who are new followers, I’m the founder of the company @RareSkills_io
We focus on making difficult subjects in computer science, particularly blockchain, approachable and useful to you.
Our most famous resource is the “RareSkills ZK Book” (do an internet search for that, X doesn’t like links).
It is 100% free and requires no email or login.
It teaches you how the field of cryptography “Zero Knowledge Proofs” work and how to code them up yourself.
I used to think batch and stream ingestion were distinct, but recently heard Joe Reis describe them as existing on a continuum, where ingestion frequency defines the paradigm:
> Batch: semi-frequent
> Micro-batch: frequent
> Streaming: real-time
