@ecomchasedimond Funny how true that is. Clients rarely ask for the shiny new thing, they ask for the boring deliverable on time. The best automation wins are usually the dull repeat tasks like decks and reports. What's the most repetitive thing left in your week?
@jonbrosio The 'someone who answered their email' part is underrated. Most small shops lose deals in the first 24 hours of silence, not on price. Do you find clients decide on the offer itself or on how fast you respond?
@FilipPanoski Weekly consistency beats launch spikes every time. What was the one channel in those 20 months that kept producing even when you skipped a week of effort?
@VincentLoforti Good one, and very fixable. Pull deposits from the bank feed, match on amount + payer name + invoice number, auto-apply the obvious ones, and send only the fuzzy ones to you as a quick yes/no. Usually that's most of the pile gone. Which accounting tool are you on?
Teardown: "we miss calls when we're on a job"
Trigger: missed call
→ instant SMS: "Sorry we missed you, what do you need?"
→ AI asks 3 qualifying questions
→ books a slot in your calendar
→ you get a 2-line summary
One-off build. No new app for the team to learn.
@thejustinwelsh And the decade compounds quietly. Years 1 to 3 look like nothing is happening, which is exactly when most people switch to the next thing.
@DovRosenberg One workflow is the right call. I'd pick the one with the clearest trigger, like "new enquiry comes in", so it's obvious whether the agent did its job or not.
@usmanbakare2@AIColonyAcademy Nice build. One thing worth adding to a WhatsApp front desk: a clean handoff to a human for refunds or complaints. Owners trust the bot much faster when they know exactly where it stops.
@ctizzy00 Would use this. Easy v1: pull every invoice from the inbox, compare with the last 3 from the same vendor, flag price jumps and duplicates, owner approves. It doesn't need to pay anything yet.
@1adamchain Most "we need AI" problems are really "none of our apps talk to each other". Connect inbox, calendar and invoicing first, and the AI layer finally has clean data to work with.
@DamiDefi Agree. A plumber doesn't need an "AI strategy". They need the missed call at 7pm turned into a booked job by 7:05. Boring workflows like that are where the real money is.
@heyblake Same shift on the services side. Building the site or the bot is the cheap part now. Knowing which problem a business will actually pay to fix, and getting in front of them, is where all the time goes.
@prathmeshbl@mchetanreddy500@z47_vc@grok If you're on Open Dental, check first that the receptionist books straight into Open Dental's schedule, not a separate calendar. Otherwise the front desk ends up fixing double bookings. Happy to sketch the setup if useful.
@Neuraticai Anything about money already paid. Refunds, "you charged me twice", a complaint. The AI can take the details and promise a callback within the hour, but a person should own that answer.
