@CoraBuhlert Is it even possible to launch a new IP through movies anymore? Iron Man would probably flop now. But there are still people that complain that studios keep rehashing the same IP continuously.
@ShitpostRock2 When all people wanted was Augmented Reality glasses. Connect to the phone, direct link to ChatGPT. Just speak what the glasses show you as responses to social situations.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees.
The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance.
Access to all other Claude models is not affected.
We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.

It would be funny if not a little tragic if a disgruntled employee shared it online or sold it to the Chinese for 1 million $. The new Hollywood movie plot. It was nukes in the 90s, now it's AI.

@ValerioCapraro People keep talking to AI like it's also a mind reader. So much context is lost just by only using writing to communicate. Even worse is just dumping a question without any specifics. Like that meme
@bluewmist I think 2016 was the year when everything started going wonky. Maybe Harambe was the anchor being of our Universe and we're living the Dark version where he died.
@VictosVertex@mersomas Practically only the global GPS reference frame matters. The drone is aware that it's moving. It would be like humans had a magnetic sense. Could they consider themselves stationary in a train if they felt themselves moving across the Earth's magnetic field?
@AdamGibson112 And people wonder why they rehash old IPs again and again... Dead = Totally New. No one can afford to launch anything nowadays. Recouping costs is an uphill battle and for some reason corporate has not figured how to grow a fandom from scratch or build hype. Ads = social networks
@ArtemisConsort Maybe it's lack of propaganda? Media shows only "nightmare children" or hedonistic lifestyle scenes. "Happy family with children" is gone. Historically, it was social coercion, and self-interest to have children as free labor and retirement care.
YouTube recommendation algorithm is pure cr*p. I love oldies and listen to them constantly, but I now have to find them by watching movie trailers. For example: Supergirl 2026 with Jimmy Ruffin - What Becomes of the Brokenhearted

@bridgemindai The problem is that soon the cheap Chinese models will be "good enough". Claude and GPT will be used for the critical parts. Companies are already testing Deepseek or Kimi as cheap alternatives to reduce costs. Think of the evolution concept of "satisficing" in the AI "datome".
When they said they were banning accounts that purchased NSFW art commissions, they apparently meant even past NSFW commissions.
This money is for my mother & now it's being held for 180 days?
@PayPal, this is absolutely unacceptable. I will not be making another account with you & I will never use your service again. This is a joke & I feel awful for anyone, including artists, who have to use your garbage.
@LottoLabs If they updated Sonnet, it would probably begin to rival Opus. That's where the money is at. Why keep training 2 models? Sonnet will become the new Haiku and for everything else there is the latest Opus. The pricing is also locked in. They found a revenue model.
@AlfinCodes Wow! Can you share a public link to this conversation? It might be useful for advancing AI to debug what you're doing different to get this dumbed down behavior.
