They may be right that crypto is near a bottom under today’s conditions. But a world war would introduce a completely new condition and could create a lower bottom.
Think of it as two separate questions:
* Normal market-cycle bottom: Selling pressure is exhausted, valuations are depressed, and the next major move could be upward.
* War-shock bottom: Investors suddenly need cash, leveraged positions are liquidated, exchanges face disruptions, and nearly everything sells off together.
Even an asset already down 80% can fall another 50%. For example, falling from $1.00 to $0.20 is an 80% decline; another 50% decline takes it to $0.10.
For your holdings, I would distinguish them:
* Bitcoin: Most likely to preserve value and recover first.
* XRP: Could fall sharply initially, but has a stronger potential post-crisis payment and settlement narrative.
* FLR: Considerably higher risk because it has less liquidity and a smaller market; panic selling can push it far below what fundamentals would suggest.
So “crypto is at the bottom” may be a reasonable cycle thesis, but it does not mean the downside is gone—particularly if the discussion assumes something as extraordinary as WWIII. The practical strategy is not necessarily selling everything; it is keeping enough cash outside crypto that you would not be forced to sell XRP or FLR during the panic.
If a true World War III began, the crypto market would probably suffer a violent crash first—not immediately become a safe haven.
My best assessment:
* First hours/days: Investors rush toward cash, short-term U.S. Treasuries, and gold. Leveraged crypto positions are liquidated around the clock.
* Bitcoin: Could plausibly fall 25%–50% during the initial panic.
* Major altcoins such as XRP: Could fall 40%–65%.
* Smaller or more speculative assets such as FLR: Could temporarily fall 60%–85%, especially if liquidity disappears.
* Stablecoins: Demand might rise, but they carry issuer, banking, sanctions, and freeze risks. Centralized stablecoin balances can be frozen; this has already happened to sanctioned addresses.
* Exchanges: Withdrawals, banking rails, trading pairs, and cross-border transfers could be restricted. Cyberattacks would become a major threat.
* Later: Bitcoin could recover sooner if people seek assets outside national banking systems. XRP could benefit eventually from demand for efficient international settlement—but only if its networks, exchanges, validators, and legal access remain intact. FLR would likely remain more speculative and recover later than BTC.
@CryptoRed3ye@iMustBeNewLOL@BCBacker@FlareNetworks Many are delusional in regards to thinking flare is a scam. So many misguided people that just did not know how to wrap and delegate for that gravy train of free tokens for 36 months
Yup 2021 we were going to $10 to $13. I listened to BCB and not my wife. Never happened and my wife reminds me every day. Had $ multiple millions then gone. Also he watches serial killer documentaries with his wife at night at bedtime. Why because they like the manipulation characteristics of a serial killer I guess. He thinks short people are inferior and make less money than tall people. He thinks women will always choose a tall man over a short man. He says if a short man has money the women will always choose a tall man instead even if he has less money. I’m short and make more than many. I have a beautiful wife and family . I must be a freak of nature. I’m sure he has the same opinion about women making less money than men too. In other words women don’t deserve as much money as a man. He’s riding high right now but money is allusive and non discriminatory. It flows from deserving hands to undeserving hands and the other way around. He can’t help it. Poor guy.
@realMaalouf Because 18-30 year old liked hearing that they were going to have cheaper rent so they could continue to live in the city of their dreams.
@SenLummis@Hodor My belief is they will delay this thing until after August recess and pass in October. Institutions want cheaper prices and with the help of macro events they’ll get just that.
Four years ago today, Flare Mainnet reached genesis.
What began in observation mode has grown into infrastructure for decentralized data, cross-chain assets, and confidential computation.
