Inspired by @karpathy’s autoresearch, I built Autofoundry — a simple CLI that lets you run experiments across cloud GPUs with one command:
autofoundry run
You get a real-time interactive table showing GPU availability and pricing across Runpod, Vast, Lambda Labs and PRIME Intellect. Pick what you want and it spins up the instances, streams results live to your terminal, aggregates metrics into a report, and tears everything down.
A great first script to try is:
scripts/run_autoresearch.sh
The terminal UI is straight out of Neon Genesis Evangelion (w/ full NERV Central Command vibes) and the project is open source (MIT licensed).
For the first time in many, many years, Opendoor’s core workhorse is on a modern version of Rails.
Monoliths and monorepos are the most AI-friendly way to move #faster
We built an AI tool to make sure we are catching all discrepancies. It works like magic.
This week, it caught a $0.01 discrepancy that was genuinely very hard to catch (across multiple files).
We had to adjust the prompt to tell it to chill out if it's less than $1.
This feels like a watershed moment. When the best engineers in the world are no longer writing a single line of code, and barely even looking at the code that's being generated.
This would have sounded insane just a year ago.
Hard to fathom what happens when the stuff @bcherny@steipete@karpathy are doing today becomes the norm for the rest of the software engineering field over the next few years.
@MickeCTR82@nejatian This fun idea will change the way people write code and increase the (already impressive) speed at which $open can ship products and features.
We've started working on a fun idea that we will open source. Sharing it early since it is not a feature we intend to launch in the product.
We are in prototype still - but we will use it for ourselves. TaskAgent is like an Associate PM. It inverts the human agent relationship. Instead of humans directing code agents what to do, agents will ask the human for input when needed.

A retired, empty-nester couple feeling pressure to downsize because their property tax keeps rising as their home appreciates—is exactly how the system SHOULD work.
