🚨 Karnataka’s new Hate Speech Bill (2025) (https://t.co/d4BmkZq1AS) is getting attention, as well as an apt scrutiny. I co-read the full text with @kushal_mehra and ran it through a bias audit based on core political values. What I found is deeply concerning. Here’s a thread. 🧵
@aichaturvedi People don't understand that LLMs are probability engines, and they will lead you where you want to go. You bias them with your framing of the prompt. If not written well, they become an echo chamber. The users still need to be smart themselves for good outcomes.

#𝟏: Colonial Hangover
200 years of British rule left deep suspicion toward "capitalists" & industrialists. The East India Company was seen as exploitative corporate raiders.
Post-independence, leaders leaned toward Soviet-style communism, profits seen as exploitation. [2/9]
It's great to see this, and the recent success of MP-42. Congratulations to @sssdefence . Special thanks to @ajeetbharti for covering and enlightening me to such a brilliant bharatiya company!
The first batch of Bharat designed & manufactured weapons produced for delivery in 2026 from the @sssdefence shopfloor. Keep watching for updates on this over the coming weeks
There’s a Persian idiom “Jawab-e-Hind” translated as “An Indian answer”. It originally referred to a lethal cut from a sword made from Indian Wootz steel. The steel was exported from India and even made the famed Damascus swords.
Let it be known that we are a martial tradition & made some great weapons with incredible metallurgy. Salute to our ancestors whose tradition we have the privilege to continue - in a different time, with next gen tech but for the same guarantee

What if two nations started from the same point - same people, culture, geography - but chose opposite economic paths?
The results are staggering, and provide proof that capitalism drives progress.

These aren't coincidences.
History repeatedly shows:
Excessive government control kills innovation & growth.
Private enterprise (with fair rules & safety nets) creates wealth for all societies.

The more I listen to @kushal_mehra , the more I realise how important it is for us as #indians to rise above incident-level polarisation. The problem with both left and non-left is the same - groupthink over principles-based thinking. Great monologue 👏 - https://t.co/cVvfdLfXKb
The other side of the story. Again, rather than passing quick judgements, we should wait for the whole truth to come out. With all due respect @ShivAroor, please do take a look.
So here is the version of the accused, Dr Raghav Narula from IGMC Shimla. Important that both sides are heard and facts verified through a fair inquiry before jumping to any conclusion.
For years, we have seen videos of doctors being assaulted, and the armchair intellectuals remained silent. Many even mocked the doctors’ plight instead of raising their voice.
Now one video emerges where a doctor refuses to get beaten up and takes action to safeguard himself, and suddenly we have people giving us gyaan. Sorry, we do not need it.
Every doctor has the right to defend himself or herself.
Our resident doctors, who work day in and day out, often in emergencies and in pathetic conditions, are not punching bags.
To those who think they can hit a doctor, Fuck Off!
“Govt spends ₹30–35 lakh on a medical seat, so doctors ‘owe’ society?”
Then answer this 👇
• Why are interns/JRs paid peanuts?
• Why are residents overworked 36-hour shifts?
• Why no uniform stipend, no job security, no safety?
Education is an investment, not a bonded contract.
Doctors already repay society with blood, sweat, burnout—and sometimes their lives.
Respect is not charity.
Service cannot be enforced through guilt.
Think. Debate. Comment.

Two years ago, the same media praised Dr. Raghav Narula as a hero for personally escorting a poor patient to a higher centre and saving her life.
Today, without hearing his side, the same doctor is being branded “mentally unfit” and facing calls for termination.
Justice cannot be selective.
Doctors are not machines — they deserve a fair inquiry, dignity, and the right to be heard.

NDTV has taken the quote from the patient who said its the doctor’s fault. Nobody even asked the doctor
A doctor is kicked inside a hospital—his workplace, his battlefield.
When he fights back, suddenly “inquiry”, “ethics”, “decorum” become trending words.
Let’s be clear:
Doctors are not punching bags.
Hospitals are not boxing rings for frustrated relatives.
Self-defence is NOT misconduct.
Silence in the face of violence is NOT professionalism.
If the system can’t protect doctors, don’t expect them to stand still and bleed.
Respect is earned—but safety is a right.
Enough hypocrisy. Enough moral lectures.
Stand with doctors. Or watch healthcare collapse.

How sick this journalist is? He wants a doctor to get kicked and accept it as his fate.
Dear Residents, you have every right to safeguard your life. Vultures like this journalist would try to make you believe that as doctors you are meant to take blows without responding. Dont fall for it
It’s extremely unfortunate that a journalist like @ShivAroor is sharing a video with zero context about what actually led to the confrontation between the doctor and the patient! 👎
The video clearly shows the patient kicking the doctor, yet only a selective clip has been posted. Sharing half a story like this is not journalism! What a downfall!
Whether intentional or not, this kind of ragebait posting only serves to inflame emotions and mislead the public.
This is irresponsible, and frankly disappointing. Do better, Shiv!!!
