@DaveAlvord@ThoughtfulSaint Typical week. 1 hour service wed evening, 1 service Saturday evening, 1.5-2 hour service Sunday. We stand during worship we do not sit. In many areas there is a daily morning and evening service. At monasteries, a daily cycle with a service at each of the hours is normal.
@DaveAlvord@ThoughtfulSaint Sadly Greece is very westernized. There are areas that are heavily Orthodox, but it's mostly a fallen county. Better Georgia, Bulgaria, Romania.
@nicoraytruth Why has the LDS Church changed is position on queer missionaries? When this video happened, no openly queer missionaries served, now is no big deal. They can promote their deviant lifestyle no biggie. Why the change?
@DaveAlvord@ThoughtfulSaint LDS to Eastern Orthodox here. If you want to see a higher demand lifestyle you should come and see.
Absolutely no doubt much much higher than LDS.
@ThoughtfulSaint We left because the LDS is now woke, progressive and queer. Openly queer unrepentant missionaries ensures that
Joined Eastern Orthodox because it is the Body of Christ.
@Gamma_Pyramind@John_Stone_@ThoughtfulSaint For ex LDS, the LDS Church and it's teachings sadly destroys faith and trust in the Bible. That can very often turn to anger or bitterness. While false, there is plenty of good. Learn to forgive and ask for forgiveness.
Through Eastern Orthodox, the Bible is more real than real.
@SusanK1717@RealBrittHughes So you are saying that if a gene was found that 99% accurately determined a child was queer, the child could be killed before birth? Right?
You cannot claim that you’re aborting your Down syndrome child because you don’t want him to “suffer.” First of all, killing a child so they don’t suffer is psychopath serial killer logic. You’re on the same moral plane as Andrea Yates. Second, children with Down syndrome are famously some of the happiest people you’ll ever meet in your life. They are not in fact living in a state of perpetual torment. So what’s really happening is that you’re killing your child so that YOU won’t suffer the inconvenience of caring for him. This is about freeing yourself of your own perceived suffering. If you’re going to be a child killing sociopath, at least be honest about it.
@Matthewthewalk1@John_Stone_@mormons_speak In other words no. Do Mormons actively ask each other for forgiveness? Say to individual members of the congregation. I am a sinner, please forgive me? And then say yes I forgive you?
@davidlhansen3@John_Stone_@Sarahsred7 Entire service is chanted or sung. If you are really interested probably best to find a YouTube video of a service and that doesn't do it justice.
