Having a set of policies on which your business runs is very helpful.

For instance, I have noticed that, when I personally do the work, things happens and I might get tired, or get meetings in the middle of the work sessions.

Similar situations where your work is interrupted midway always happens.
And when it does happen, that's when you need the set of policies that can guide you.

For instance, one policy might be: when there are interruptions, focus only on completing the task with the highest yield when you come back

That way, you do not waste time adhering to a rigid schedule, and actually move the needle, in a day that was not so great.

Its part of building the system that supports the business. A business without the right system is nothing.

This is true, and it is the reason I have been off x lately. The people here are just engagement baiting, or posting about surface level stuff.

Its very annoying, and harder to build an actual audience that values real deep content.

The thing I miss the most about coding by hand is the clarity.

You knew exactly what lives in which file, why you wrote a specific line, why you rewrote the other one, why you used this library.

You still can have such awareness, but it’s harder since everything happens faster

I have been using SvelteKit for a while now and it is genuinely one of the best frameworks for development.

I know in the age of ai, noone cares about frameworks anymore. But the reason why I like it is because it gives a lot of control and simplicity to the developer.

Game theory pretty much proves that the long game is not a strategy most people can execute at all. That's because it tends to require a negative short-term position in exchange for a real advantage later. Most people cannot commit to this because their threat-detection system reads current loss as an existential failure. And that's vicious short-sightedness. It leads them to optimize for visible progress and sacrifice their real position. The people who constantly win rarely have better information. Instead, they accept that losing now will pay off later. Never quit a game before it starts.
