@KIN110UofR Leagues such as the NFL and NHL have recently started doing more international games in places such as Sweden and Germany to bring fans around the world a opportunity to see teams. However this requires much more travel and emissions. Should they continue doing this?

@Princes77307394 @KIN110UofR Most business have ESG requirements which are environmental social governance and strive to be better for the environment! Sustainability is one of the main factors in the governance and a lot of businesses report this and make it public for share holders to see.

@JennaZurburg @KIN110UofR Great idea! Especially something like the Olympic villages could easily be transformed.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@KIN110UofR Does anyone have any ideas how old olympic stadiums or facilities could be reused so they don’t become abandoned? #reuse

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@AbrahamJoy62603 @KIN110UofR The community might as well use them since they were built! Why let it go to waste right!?

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@CassB444 @KIN110UofR Great idea!

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@Reecekuski @KIN110UofR It would make so much sense if golf courses used recycled water because all they need is some type of water source not fresh water. Governments could put a law in place that golf courses have to use recycled water. It just makes sense.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@Anany1504 @KIN110UofR This was pretty cool, something to keep in mind when travelling!

Here is an interesting article about the relationship sport and environment have. Lots of content about the olympics, which relates to class very well, since we talked about it lots.

@diiorio8302 @KIN110UofR Unfortunately it’s true that the NFL treats the players bad. There is always a next man up which leads to people being neglected. I agree that the fields should be changed to avoid injuries.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@Kaitlyn87137589 @KIN110UofR That’s a great idea! Why not let the community and teams use such nice facilities.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@Chase__Fuhro @KIN110UofR It is definitely a team effort, governments can do as much as they want, but it doesn’t matter if everyone doesn’t want to help. Citizens are the key to helping the environment through government support.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@KearaChris27625 @KIN110UofR The Olympics is a staple in the world. I can’t imagine that it will disappear, however I could see some kind of financial aid or help to a country that decides to host. Maybe something along the lines of countries having to buy in to attend and that goes towards helping out.

@KIN110UofR
Would you support Regina trying to host bigger events such as the world juniors? Even if it costed taxpayers to freshen up the facilities. Leave a comment on why or why not! #sportcity

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

The city of Regina opened the new Wascana pool. Ramps, lifts, water wheelchairs, and gender neutral change rooms all made it possible for anyone to be welcome and have fun. Over 100,000 people attended the facility this summer. @KIN110UofR #sportandgov

@megpearce04 @KIN110UofR The best I find is a combination, each one gives you a certain aspect or view of the sport!

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@HughNestor2 @KIN110UofR It seems much harder to find specific news in the paper rather than a quick google search on the topic. Say the score of last nights games for example.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@CHYNGYZD_UOFR @KIN110UofR Due to the amount of different services and packages one has to buy sometimes it’s much easier to find a stream on Reddit for free to watch a specific game.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@austyn_roos @KIN110UofR It is ironic because the Senators home helmets are sponsored by a sports betting company. Why do athletes have to represent sports betting but not participate? The suspension was very harsh.

[Zach Schaan @ZachSchaan]

@ddxxzzyy @KIN110UofR Sometimes it can be incredibly hard to find the specific game you want to watch, but if it was all on the same stream for example this would be much easier.
