So far we've heard about gene expression patterns in different brain regions and brain cells. Here the authors went all the way inside of a single neuron and studied the gene expression patterns of different parts of a neuron. This is mind-blowing!

Here is an animation showing a normal pancreatic tissue obtained using CODA, a method to produce 3D maps of large volumes of tissues and tumors.

From serially cut H&E sections to digital volumes, spanning cm to micron length scales.
