@anthilemoon It’s still that survival drive IMO. Most species (and historical humans) have more limited resources so there’s less need for an ‘enough’ mechanism. Money (and social capital to a lesser extent) are easily measurable so more=higher likelihood of survival for yourself and children

@mattvaru Depends a lot on who I’m talking too, but I sometimes say something like “I work on the internet” which is vague enough that people don’t ask follow up questions

@darianrosebrook Director is generally a people manager, but on the IC front I generally look at more senior roles having responsibility over broader areas and the expectation of having more direct impact on business metrics.

@tylertringas Things like SIPs and other smaller modular components do seem to have some traction, and there are some interesting technologies and builders (https://t.co/f8ZwvQuNlY) Mostly construction just seems more regional than I expected which means the prefab efficiencies are downplayed

@tylertringas I really wanted to do prefab/modular with our home build that’s currently underway but saw fewer and fewer benefits the more we looked into it. I could see it replacing tract developments, but it’s a long way from viable for custom home builds

@petecodes At least in the US, with interest rates so low it almost certainly makes sense to invest if you’re looking at it purely financially. You have higher liquidity, greater returns, and more diversification. Leverage is also a widely powerful thing (both good and bad)…

@JHTScherck A. Everyone wears masks and everyone is upset because it's stricter than CDC
B. Follow CDC. Enforce masks just for people that are most vocal about it
C. No mask requirements. Everyone is upset AND people with the least access to healthcare, transportation, etc. are most at risk
