Before you can have “fuck you money” , you gotta have “fuck you skills”…
…and before that you gotta have “fuck you courage”…
…and before that you gotta have “fuck dreams”…
…and before all that you gotta be able to look at everything and everyone in the face and say “fuck you”, “fuck what you think” and “fuck what you feel”, I’m going for it.
Omg I’m so stupid. There’s a TINY minority of people who care about truth for its own sake. VAST majority cares about CONNECTION instead which means arguing, for them, is just an opportunity to reaffirm the consensus view which is why it’s so FRUSTRATING. AHHHHHHHHH
The most valuable experience in the world is briefly glimpsing the real levers that move the world when they occasionally poke through the veneer of social reality.
L. ron hubbard said that one principle in the “game of life” is that you can only communicate with someone that wants to be communicated to. although it sounds obvious, its not - most people do not live this way. internalizing this avoids an immense amount of frustration.
"this is gonna sound crazy, but literally in your new life as a higher dimensional being, what you're going to remember is not the details of the things you learned before, but the salient meaning"
@tszzl Actually not complicated. Purpose of life is to live life. Complexity is mind manufactured. There is no complexity. You live then you die. You find meaning to pass the time. Some procreate, others don’t. At the end we cling to life but we can’t, we let go. Simple, but difficult.
You need to live like this for a year. You need to reach your breaking point. You need to get angry with your work and life situation.
You need to experience life in the wage cage and do whatever it takes to break free and never go back.
Software engineers are eating the world.
Why? Because, in the fallen state of universities, they are the only people educated in building and maintaining enduring systems.
We've lost critical social technologies, so rule by software is the only feasible systematicity left.
