And here we go - first *public* experimental evidence of RSI.
As a side note, this post came on my timeline even though I don’t follow the author, so yes, the algorithm is still able to provide me with the content that I am interested in outside of my narrow circles of mutuals.
@fchollet Do you see any remedy for beginners? Doing things in the old (agentless) way seems wrong, even though that is how high-skill was built for the current generation.
It is hard to overstate how important it is for society at large that there are several heavyweights in competition in that space.
One monopolistic actor as humankind enters the age of AI would be an absolute nightmare.
@suchenzang One of my beliefs of what's wrong with Gemini is that everybody in (all the different) posttrain does data, but only "algorithmically" and so ~nobody actually looks at it at all, because that would be beneath the smart googler.
Claude Science is incredible. I gave it some sequencing data, and in 8 hours it did a full analysis, generated figures, wrote a paper, submitted it for publication, got rejected, revised and resubmitted, got rejected again, it is now applying for positions in industry
beta launched instant ordering of PCBs today
@jdoyleirl explains it well, the whole goal here is shipping hardware just as fast as software

Congrats to Rocket Lab who just completed a satellite deployment in 16 hours and 42 minutes from the moment the Space Force picked up the phone. For context: it takes 14 hours to fly nonstop from New York to Singapore. Rocket Lab put a satellite in orbit faster than a commercial flight crosses the Pacific. On-demand space access is no longer a concept. It's a product.
A deceptively tricky wet lab demo: measured solids transfer between vials, using table salt as a stand-in.
Solids can mean powders, flakes, granules, sticky gels, and more, which is exactly why general-purpose manipulation matters. The goal is to handle the same messy variety a human technician can, as one step in larger automated lab workflows.
Thanks to Eikon Therapeutics for working with us on this!
